Lakehouse with swimming pool

This property was in a nice neighborhood and had a nice setting. The bathrooms were clean and the beds were clean. The pool was also very clean. Past that, the house was outdated, the walls were filthy along with some of the furniture. The vents were rusted. Before we arrived I sent a message to the owner about the arrival and payment to make sure we were good and he replied yes. When we arrived the door was unlocked, the front window was busted (see attached picture) and the place was very run down. I immediately let the owner know about the door and the front window. He said sometimes they leave the door unlocked and the front window had been broken three weeks prior. We finished our stay and checked out at 6am to head home. I got a message from the owner at 8am, saying we never paid an extra 695 that VRBO told us we did not owe anything else and not to pay him. I told him VRBO told us we did not owe anything. He then messaged me saying he is filing a claim on a closet door for over 800. We did not damage a thing in that house. Just beware booking with this owner.

Served us very well as we were trying to accommodate various family from around the county in for a wedding. Host was wonderful and the house/setting was very enjoyable!

House was a great loc

We came to Alabama to celebrate the joining of two families. I questioned the need for a pool by the lake, but my sister knew that our mom and adult grandkids would love it. As we spent a long weekend attending a wedding party 20 minutes down the road, this was a perfect, quiet sanctuary for the whole crew. Making breakfast and enjoying the lake view while socializing melted away stress. Thank you for sharing. Definitely would stay again.

Loved the house, everyone kept going on and on about how perfect it was. The littles loved the pool and fishing. And driving past the horses.

Great place with lots of beds on a beautiful lake!

was a great place for us (14 of us) near my family & mom for Thanksgiving. was very kid friendly and spacious & the kids enjoyed time fishing & swinging. just wish weather had been a bit warmer!

Great family trip. The house is very clean, spacious, and nice. The family loved the pool and time on the lake. We'll be back!
