East Tawas, Michigan
Adorable space, old fashioned cottage right on Lake Huron. Large unclosed porch with bar. Fireplace and wood burning stove for heat. This cottage has the best views of the property and by far the best place to watch the sunrise.
This is a very old log cabin with original everything. It is around 100 years old and has tons of charm. The bedroom is an addition behind the chimney so you get to wake up to old beautiful brick work to your right and the gorgeous sunrise to your right through original single glass windows.
The enclosed porch is the best place for drinking your morning coffee and watching Lake Huron in all it's beauty. There are two dining tables for all your meals and a cute little dry bar to enjoy your evening brews.
The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and toaater for all your cooking needs.
The other addition off the back of the cabin has an updated bathroom with a small but brand new shower.
We supply electric heaters for those cold nights but there is also a wood burning stove and electric fan to keep you warm if you prefer the old ways. We also supply box fans for those warm days to help pull that cool lake air in.
There is a private deck with a charcoal grill, fire pit and patio furniture.
This property has only the owners home and two other cottages so your time here will be quiet and peaceful. You largely get Lake Huron to yourself.
Host lives on site and is available whenever home to assist guests with their needs.
The property has two other cottages and owners home. There are a lotof trees and not many neighbors. It's quiet and peaceful. We have many many bird species and lots of black squirrels and chipmunks to watch.
Lake Huron is right outside the cabin for beautiful views. There is a deck and table with grill and fire pit for Lakehouse guests. There is also hammock and picnic table at the water for all guests to enjoy.
Bring your bike and take a ride down Baldwin Resort Rd to Tawas Beach where you can take the bike lane all the way to the Tawas Point State Park or into town.
This property sits on wooded sand dunes next to Lake Huron. It is rural and quiet. However, because it is next to the lake and in the woods we share our property with nature. We take every precaution to keep nature outside but this is a 1950's log cabin and sometimes nature comes in anyway.
Wifi is functional but slow. Not recommended for streaming
My cousin and I came up for a get away. The cabin was perfect. Miss Huron was fierce and her waves were so soothing. We had a toasty fire all weekend and when we got low on wood, Q was right there restocking us. House was immaculate. We’d stay again for sure! Great location.
We wanted a week of relaxation and that is exactly what we got. Awesome view of Lake Huron. We had coffee on the deck every morning. The listing was very accurate. Hosts had great communication. We will definitely be back.
Nice quite place …
The views and scenery were amazing. We absolutely enjoyed our time there. It was very relaxing and a great weekend getaway to recharge. The place has been well kept and the host always had quick responses. We would definitely recommend this lake house as well as stay there again.
This is a cozy rustic cabin on a dramatic shore. We arrived to experience Lake Huron at its most dramatic, waves crashing on shore, and high into the air. The ladder to the water had been removed but the next morning as the water reuturned to calm, Quenton reinstalled the ladder and we were able to enjoy swimming each day and climbing on the rocks. Very fun. The cabin offers sitting in a comfortable living room, an enclosed porch, a deck, and a bench down by the water. Ample dining tables. Quenton and Jernnifer are very accomodating hosts. Thanks!
This cottage is just as pictured, its quiet and the perfect place to see the stars. Q and Jennifer are very helpful. Will stay there again.
Beautiful view
Fun
We enjoyed our stay and loved the location of the home on the water. Great place to relax and hear the waves!
If you want to get away to relax with an amazing view, couldn't recommend this place enough. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the sounds of the waves, but if we weren't doing that, then we resorted to the spacious patio overlooking the lake. Q and Jenn were very nice and communication was always swift leading up to our visit. We appreciate you welcoming us to your lakehouse and look forward to coming back!
We had a wonderful time. This is a really special property, with an amazing view of Lake Huron, and the hosts are so friendly and accommodating. One of the few places we actually plan to return to, because we enjoyed it so much!
