Lakefront/Boat Dock, 3/2, Furnished, Castaway Cottage, covered back deck views

The place was great nice comfortable rooms. The only thing i would want is better kitchen equipment. We lacked measuring cups and a Keirig

This was the BEST place that we have rented in North Carolina. The main reason for our trip was to hopefully find a new home in the surrounding areas. From the moment we arrived and went inside we knew this was truly going to be the perfect place to come home to each day. First let me say that the house is not lacking in any area. From having a great selection of dinnerware, cooking items such as pots and pans and frying pans and baking dishes, serving platters and bowls, dishware ,I can go on and on. Plenty of towels and bath items. The view from the expansive back deck is literally mind blowing whether you are sitting out there in the morning with your first cup of coffee and all of a sudden the sky starts dancing with magnificent colors from the sunrise or in the evening when the sun starts setting. The location of the house is only a few minutes away from the local food markets and stores and it’s only a short drive to downtown. This was the most enjoyable yet relaxed vacation we have had in a while. I have to say that we did accomplish our goal of finding a new home while we were there, and even though Castway Cottage isn’t that far away from our future home we plan on going back for a recharge kind of vacation when we need it. Lovely view of the lake. Complete instructions for everything in the house. Easy access. Clean, well furnished, plenty of household items, laundry facilities and very quiet neighborhood. Neighbors were friendly. We enjoyed our time.

We enjoyed this house very much. I grew up in Lexington and this place was 5 miles from my dad/mother. Very convenient to thier place and shopping. We had two very nice meals…steak k e night and then we fried a turkey. Went fishing and caught fish as well. We Will definitely be visiting again.

The cozy cottage was very neat and clean. The view of the lake was wonderful from inside and from the big and roomy back deck. It was peaceful and quiet and the perfect place to relax.

Very beautiful place on the lake. House was very clean and we had everything we needed. We were not able to take our boat because it has a mechanical issue right now but we still had a great time with family and fishing! Thank you for the opportunity to rent your home!

Enjoyed our stay at Castaway Cottage. The back deck was our favorite and we stayed out there alot with all the rain we had. Inside is as described. Stairs to water and dock as described. We had about 9 feet of water off the front of the dock. Water silty and some log debris but we were able to do our water-sports right in front of the house. Only issue was listing states sleeps 8, 7 comfortably but owner contacted us when we had 5 cars in driveway questioning if we had more than 6 guests (we worked this out but if you intend to take more than 6 guests make sure to confirm it with owner first)

My daughters family and myself and it was wonderful the listing is so accurate just as it states!! I could have sat on the deck facing the lake forever!!

We have never been to High Rock Lake prior to this stay. We were looking for pet friendly and a place to bring our boat. We had no way to know the weather would be off the week after Memorial Day. The house and location were great. Plan on cooking and eating in unless you want to travel 20 minutes or more for anything other than diner food. It was fine for us since we couldn’t leave our dog alone. We hope to visit again and hope for better weather. The house has the amenities we needed. The host was quick to respond with any questions. The house does have lots of steps to the lake (47); however we navigated with no problems.

Chose this location during this to spend time with family and to fish for crappy. Oh boy did we catch some crappy. Plenty for a meal and more to bring home

We like to fish. It needed electricity at the dock to plug in the batteries on the boat. It was a clean and comfortable home.

Place was amazing. Has great views and great fishing. Very clean and very quiet. Will definitely go again!

Was a great place to stay while visiting family in Lexington. If we ever come during the summer would definitely try to rent again.

This place is described as stated. We came down for a funeral. All we can say is we will come back again. Hopefully in the summer month to enjoy being on the pier.

Easy to find and check-in, and plenty of helpful information (and welcome gift!) provided by the hosts. The house was just as pictured and comfortably fit our combined families (7 people total). The neighborhood was very peaceful. We only stayed for a few days, but the house had everything we needed to feel right at home - full kitchen utensils and appliances, laundry, grill, and 3 bathrooms! The back deck was wonderful with so much seating and nice views of the lake yet plenty of privacy. We spent a lot of our time there! The dock was a long way down but the stairs had enough landings to make it easy enough going back up. It was also great sitting down there. The property owner responded quickly to the question we had and she was super helpful when we accidentally left a few things behind. We would definitely stay again for our next visit with family!

Nice home. The covered deck with a sitting area and a table for dining was a huge plus. We spent most of our time there or down on the dock. We had a wonderful time. The steps going upstairs are a bit steep and that information might need to be included in the description. They could be hard to navigate for the elderly or someone carrying a baby or toddler up

Second time we stayed here and will stay again!
