Beautiful home with beautiful views and opportunities to keep every age happy with ping pong, foosball, basketball and more. Got lucky with beautiful weather so we were able to enjoy the kayaks and the grill. Thank you.

This beautiful gated property on a quiet street was exactly what we were looking for in a family getaway with our two sons and their young families. Everyone had a lot of room to spread out and their own level to sleep on with a view of the lake. The game rooms/water activities/fishing off the dock/beach kept all the kiddos busy when we weren’t out on the water. We rented a boat that we could dock at the house for the week which was super convenient. They were having a major heatwave in NC when we were there and the air conditioning was having trouble keeping up in the extreme heat so it was getting a little hot in the house but our host addressed it immediately, sending out an hvac repairman twice and graciously ordering multiple fans which were delivered the next day to keep the house comfortable. There were only a couple minor disappointments…a couple of the showers looked as though they hadn’t been fully cleaned and one of the beds had no fitted sheet on the mattress but I understand it’s sometimes hard to get reliable housekeeping when you live remotely:) They could definitely use some more sand on their beach to replace what has washed away but the kiddos enjoyed it immensely regardless! We would definitely recommend booking this property for your vacation and are grateful to our host, Christian, who was extremely attentive in trying to help us stay cool during the heat wave. We hope to be back for a stay in the future!

Our whole family has been gathering annually for many years and have stayed at a variety of homes. This home was the best. There are many games to keep children (young and old) occupied when they are not on the dock, kayaking, swimming or catching some rays. The two large gathering rooms were comfortable and provided beautiful views. All of the beds and furniture were comfortable. We often make our meals in the house and there was plenty of cook ware, dishes, etc.

This home was the perfect spot for a friendly gathering of friends both near and far. The location on the lake was wonderful and the home was stocked with all the things you would need to have a great time away from home. Christian was very quick to reply to any of our questions and w head the absolute best time. The view from the kitchen and the living room was absolutely stunning and it was a great way to start the day with a cup of coffee. We cooked a large dinner both nights and the kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need. We also used the grill one night and enjoyed the other amenities Fern Hill Haven had to offer. We would 100% recommend this home to anyone looking to escape for the week(end).

Fern Hill was the perfect location for us for a family gathering. The house itself has everything you could need for relaxing, entertaining, and socializing. Lake Norman itself is wonderful with lots of different areas to explore, and the house's dock is a perfect entrance to the lake. It is on a quiet cove, but the end of the dock is deep enough for lots of water games. Even the 6 1/2 footer had a hard time touching the bottom. I can't recommend this place enough!

We could have not been more pleased with the home, communication with the owner, and overall experience. This home is all presented in the photos and description and more. Three generations and 12 family members had plenty of space for gathering, individual time, and activities. The home was well maintained, beautifully decorated, in a wonderful location, and equipped with all needed for an extended weekend with a large family. Thank you for a great experience in your home.

This property is exactly as described. There was plenty of space for our group to relax lakeside or gather for a meal. Beds were very comfortable.

Myself and 5 colleagues rented this home for an end of year sales meeting/retreat location. It was perfect. During the day, we had great internet access to work remotely as well as access to a comfy spot to watch presentations using the hookups on the television. The view was beautiful, beds were comfy, the home was immaculate. We enjoyed some down-time at the fire pit and in the garage playing ping pong each night. The owner was super responsive and very thorough. We were given multiple dining and activity suggestions prior to check-in. I cannot say enough great things about this home. We loved it.
