Blueberry Cove is a fabulous 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath lake home on the South-Western Shore of the Dowell's Peninsula at Mercer Lake. This stunning three-story fully remodeled home is spaciously appointed for your family or group of 6.

The kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare most of your favorite meals. With marble counter-tops and stainless top-of-the-line appliances, the quality makes prepping food a joy! The main floor has stunning views of the lake and is surrounded by windows for lots of sunlight!

The outdoor decks offer the perfect vantage point to enjoy the sun, stunning skies and views of the lake and cove. Enjoy a fire in the raised fire pit on the lower deck.

Beachcombing, ATV’s, sandboarding, dune buggies, horseback riding, kite flying and long sandy walks are a few of the most popular beach and water activities that are available.

Mercer Lake:

Boat Launch - There are two public boat launches, First is about 1 mile further east on Mercer Lake rd., watch for signs on your left. Second and slightly easier option is about 1 mile West on Mercer Lake rd to Bayberry rd turn right then an immediate right onto Archer Ln. Launch is at the end of the road, narrow road so best to back down Archer to water.

Mercer is a good sized lake listed at 341acres on the north side of Florence. Great largemouth bass fishing, yellow perch, bullhead catfish, seasonally stocked rainbow trout and some sunfish as well..

With a boat, you can poke around the long Dowell and Dahlin arms and many small coves and points around the lake. There are standing and fallen trees around the shoreline, as well as a fair number of docks, that add to the potential cover for bass and panfish.

What’s nearby:

This home is a quick drive from multiple access points to the Oregon Dunes and ocean
beaches including the popular access just out South Jetty Road. The charming Old Town section of the city
is filled with lovely shops, cafes, galleries, and restaurants.
You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. The
coastal forests flourishing in Douglas fir and Sitka spruce extend nearly to the Ocean.

Some trails wind up, over, and through sand dunes, offering hikers the opportunity to
experience the unique natural wonders of this area.
Take a scenic drive up Hwy 101 to Heceta Head Lighthouse where free tours are
offered daily.
Get your adrenalin flowing on a nearby dune buggy tour or with an ATV rental, or go crabbing from the Siuslaw Bay public fishing pier at the end of South Jetty road
where crabbing is excellent from late spring until the fresh water from winter rains force
the crabs out to the ocean.

Love Mercer lake and it's our third time at the blueberry cove home. Lots of room and everything you need at the house. Super quiet at night and lots of wildlife around. Close to downtown Florence for great dinners. Large tv for movies or sports at night. On a slightly negative note this time around there was a boat at the dock which wasn't there the previous two times. For 3 old brothers who love to fish together off the dock, it was in the way. Not to mention we like to rent our own boat at the local marina and use the dock ourselves. Despite that, still a great trip all around and thanks.

Had a great time at Blueberry Cove, not accessible for people with disabilities and a lot of stairs just FYI. But amazing dock and super quiet cove. Missing a few kitchen items, if you need an 9 x13 pan bring your own, and only a two-cup coffee maker. Kayaks, a canoe and paddle boards were available, along with a fire pit. It was a great place and we had a fabulous time.

House sits on the perfect spot of the lake. It sits back enough to block any wind that may come up. It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

We loved the accommodations and location of this lake house on the coast! Close to Florence, shopping amenities, and a quiet local area made this a great place to connect with friends and adventure together.

Everything about our stay from the ping pong table in the basement to the picturesque view from the balcony was perfect. We felt so fortunate to have found this house, and the lake itself was peaceful and gorgeous. The family who owns the property have thought of everything--board games, a well appointed kitchen, paddle boards and kayaks. They even have marshmallow roasting sticks and a fire pit with a lake view. I am hesitant to gush about it in this review because part of me wants to keep it my family's little secret. We hope to return again...and again.

This house is perfect! I had a couple questions for the host prior to our stay and she responded quickly each time. When we arrived, the house was clean and well stocked. The home is well maintained and felt like home to us. We loved sitting on the deck, looking at the beautiful surroundings, and so enjoyed our time there. We would love to return again!

Blueberry Cove was the perfect holiday getaway to relax by the lake and see the coastal sights. The kitchen is stocked so well that we were able to cook a huge range of daily meals and of course a special holiday meal of local seafood. We loved spending our early mornings with a hot cup of coffee or tea on the back porch that overlooked the lake and even had a morning chorus from a cute juvenile squirrel and his Stellar Jay friends. An afternoon walk around the quiet neighborhood included Black Tail Deer sightings and a wonderful amount of mushroom spotting. Our evenings often ended in a warm seat by the fire pit outside where we snacked on s'mores and then an abundance of laughter as we wound down for the night with the collection of board games in the cubbard. The beds are all super comfortable (I even checked the tag of the master bedroom mattress so I can buy it for myself once my current one wears out) and the thermostat is easy to adjust for your cozy preference. This location is also so close to the coast that we had daily walks on the Jetty and even visited the Heceta Head Lighthouse, the Sea Lion Caves, and took a day trip up to Newport to go to the famous Nana's Irish Pub and the Oregon Coast Aquarium. We had no issues getting in or using any of the appliances and there's also a washer and dryer for clothes if you get dirty while exploring. We greatly appreciate the experience and thank you for renting to us.

Nice place. Great spot on the lake. Main floor With kitchen and living has good view of the lake. Upper level has two bedrooms with master overlooking the lake. A little trouble getting in but property manager was available to assist on phone. Pretty clean but some interior cobwebs around. all that anyone needed in the kitchen is there. Had a great time, caught some fish, had some laughs. 5 stars.

My husband and i celebrated our 40th anniversary at this house. It was awesome. We live very hectic lives and the peacefulness of this property was just what we needed. The house is decorated in a way that is instantly welcoming. I loved the family pics of the owners throughout the house. Hope to be back soon.

A great home for our family. Our adult kids met us there for a week of water fun and family games, and the setting was perfect. The real win for us was the finished work area behind the ping pong table. It was the perfect place for our son to work (strong wifi and quiet), and he could walk right out to the deck in between things. The kitchen was well equipped and each bed was comfortable. But our favorite place was the dock and lake. The cove was quiet and beautiful.

Well furnished 3 bedroom house. Clean, updated inside. Great view of Merced lake. Pleasant outdoor space in two separate decks with views of the lake plus shaded outdoor space. Boat dock needs some repairs as it has aged. A few places on the dock feel as if you might break thru...passible but in need of attention; which given the good condition of the house, I'm sure the floating dock is next on the repair list. All-n-all a pleasant, quiet stay.

This property was a great home base for our family while we toured parts of the Oregon Coast. Lots of lighthouses and hikes during the day while coming back here to relax at in the evenings. Ping Pong table in the garage was a big hit!
