This townhome is quaint, quiet and has lots of unique characteristic but needs some love and a deep cleaning. The master bed was comfy, heater works well, water pressure was good, very quiet area while we were there between Christmas and New Years. The bathrooms need a major facelift and the townhome next door to the South is in disrepair probably from the last hurricane. This property isn't well suited for families with small children or anyone with limited mobility since there are lots of stairs. I sent my concerns to the property manager and she said they will address them.
Absolutely loved the view. Nice little place. would definitely stay again!

We came in town for a family reunion and needed a place to stay. We found this wonderful location that fit exactly what my family needed. In the morning I went fishing off the dock in the back and caught a few different types of fish; alligator gar, croaker, and catfish. While fishing the neighbor let their dogs out which started barking and growling at me, luckily my children were inside. Dogs roamed free for about 15 minutes then owner came outside yelling for them to come inside. Mid day we left for the reunion and returned in the evening to a cool home to relax and cool down. We really enjoyed the stay.
A house on the water, with lots of nature around. Welcoming and nice neighbors. The house has everything for a stay.We had two wonderful days at home, we really loved the area and the treats that were waiting for us on the table.
Just what we needed. Peaceful and scenic townhome. Our host was very considerate and thoughtful.
Great location. Peaceful retreat but easy to get to Hustle & Bustle of New Orleans via the bridge or around the east side through the wild life refuge. Beautiful area for morning runs along the road way over looking the water & lots of wonderful bird sightings. Great communication with the property manager, quickly answering any questions. Such a great trip..thank you!
I was in Madisonville for a long weekend from 2/10-2/13/23. This condo, near/on Port Louis, was remote enough that I felt far from the city. It is roughly a 15-20 minute drive to grocery store (Rouses), gas stations, and fast food places. Beds were extremely comfortable and had quality sheets and bedding. This host definitely values sleep and did not skimp in this area. I read a book and took long nap on the futon downstairs which was, to my surprise, also very comfortable. TV is a huge flat screen (65 inch or bigger) and just one remote to work with - hallelujah. Coming from Dallas, Tx, was a long haul on Friday and it rained all day my first full day (Saturday). Because of dinner plans on Saturday and Sunday nights, I did not get to catch a sunset. I caught a beautiful sunrise on both Sunday and Monday morning. The 360 water view is amazing. I did not use the little wooden boat /canoe because it was full of water post rain and being a single girl from the city, I wasn’t sure if I should be out on a floating pier trying to dump water out of a boat also sitting in the water. I think they call that gator- bait. I might have tried that at 27, but not at 47. As they say, no pain, no gain. Sadly, I did not get to see any alligators on this trip. There was some initial difficulty connecting to the WiFi, but the owners responded to my texts immediately and the problem was quickly resolved. Bathrooms were clean and lots of space in the closet to unpack my suitcase. My only advice would be to replace the two older bath mats in the master bathroom with one new one. They were kind of moving all over the place. Overall, this property was excellent. My only regret is that I could not stay longer. I hope to come back and visit again.
Dirty coffee pot, refrigerator and bathrooms. My wife changed the bed linens herself as well as sweep the back porch. There was old cigarette butts and bait on the porch.
Located out on a spit of land surrounded by the lake and all its natural flora and fauna, this week-appointed condo is beautiful and comfortable. Lots of little extras made this stay fun and enjoyable. Responsive owner/manager. Close to town but feels remote, perfect for nature lovers. Sunrise and sunset over the water absolutely spectacular.
Condo was just like pictured. No issues. Neighborhood was quiet and the few people we saw were very friendly. The property is about 8 miles from town so make sure you have whatever food etc you need. We would fish every morning and evening. The wild life is awesome. Bring binoculars to view them better. Only saw 1 alligator and he was across the inlet. So no threat. All in all this place was fabulous and we will be back again for sure.
It was perfect for me. Very quite neighborhood. Would definitely rent again.
We would def stay at this property again! Yes, there were bugs, and alligators in the water out back!! But we loved watching them and enjoying our morning coffee while the fish were jumping out of water to catch dragonflys! Beds were so comfortable, teen slept well on futon downstairs. Jason's home was well-stocked. And though we had trouble with WIFI, he worked hard to resolve the issue, great comunication! Thanks again Jason!
Loved the gator’s
Jason was a great host! And had everything in place when we arrived! He was very informative with maps and food suggestions too!
