Lakefront Living in Madison

Went to Madison for the Ironman and the property was in the perfect location. Also was great for morning walks as there is a bike/walking path a block away. I would definitely stay here again

We had a fabulous visit at this Lake Monona gem! The property has stunning views, is well stocked, clean, and spacious. We had 8 adults staying in the house and enjoyed meals and socializing both inside and outside. Beds were comfortable. Easy ride to downtown Madison/State Street. Would definitely come back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at a wonderful house with a great view and plenty of sports and sights to see. We really enjoyed the zoo and the museums as well as the biking path and kayaks.A

There weren't a lot of options since we booked late for a stay in Madison. This location had 3 bathrooms which sealed the deal. It was located in a great area on the lake. We had a very comfortable stay and had everything we needed.

We had such a wonderful weekend at this house. The house was clean and exactly as pictured. The fire pit and outdoor areas were perfect for hanging out with friends and the neighborhood is perfect for walking or biking around the lake. I would love to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend in Madison.

This was the perfect place for our gang of 5 to enjoy lakeside living while exploring Madison. The house was very comfortable, spacious & clean, and the hosts are very gracious & communicative. We would all come back in a heartbeat.

What a fabulous lakefront home! We loved the amazing lake views, spectacular outdoor space, well-appointed kitchen, dining area (perfect for family gatherings), and the comfortable bedrooms. Staying in this wonderful family home is a special experience! We were here for our son’s wedding in Madison. Having this peaceful place as our family’s home-base added to the great memories of this important time in our lives. Communication with Gerald was always helpful and great! Thank you so much.

Home is very comfortable, clean, convenient to everything, great for bike riding right on the Lake Loop, can easily bike to farmer's market. This was our 2nd stay here and would definitely like stay here a 3rd time!

Our family of 5 stayed at this Monona Lake home for a week in August and enjoyed kayaking, canoeing (paddles need an upgrade, weathered/warped), and just hanging out. The house met our needs for space and lake activities. The list of amenities included a gym and tennis courts - we were under the impression those amenities were on-site, but they were not; left us a bit confused how they can be listed as amenities on the VRBO listing?? Overall the house was clean, although when we arrived the scents from the Glade Plug-in Diffusers were overwhelming. The owners have labeled drawers and provided closet space for guest use. Upon opening the master bathroom Guest Drawer, there were remnants of cut fingernails and black hairs, which was a bit alarming to find. We opted to keeping our stuff on the floor for the week. The outdoor deck and fire pit areas were nice and we enjoyed using those spaces. The deck rug is covered with mold and emitted a moldy, unpleasant odor. We used the Weber Grill for cooking several evenings. The first night the gas ran out. After resolving the gas issue, the grill never heated past 300 degrees. The kitchen was more than stocked with utensils, pans, etc., could use more cereal/salad bowls. The house is located on the lower end of Lake Monona and is near the highway, so there is white noise from constant car traffic and at times has more of an industrial smell rather than a fresh lake smell. For the price, not sure we'd return.

A beautiful place to spend our yearly sister vacation! Beautiful house with absolutely everything we needed to have a top notch stay. Easy check in and prompt communication with owners.

Such a lovely long weekend at this lakeside home. It is so comfortable and welcoming. The views are stunning. It is perfectly stocked - everything you want in the kitchen, really nice bath towels, kayaks and more. As others mentioned, the bay isn't great for swimming which didn't matter to us at all. There is a sandy beach half a block away. Super communicative and helpful hosts. We hope to come back!

We stayed here in late June for a family wedding in Madison. The house was spacious and comfortable; everybody relaxed and had restful sleep every night. The host is super responsive and courteous. We would stay there again. Madison is a fun city with a lot of fun things going on. The only caveat to mention is that the outside lakeside part of the property is not as idyllic as we had anticipated. There is a major highway a few hundred yards away which provides a steady hum and a parallel train track which has the occasional freight train rumble through. Again, however, not a major downside.

Property was in great shape. Hosts communicated very well. It is in a great location near a lot of fun spots!

This is a beautiful home with a gorgeous view of Lake Monona. Great attention to details - towels, linens, kitchen amenities. Beautiful outdoor space to relax and enjoy! Host provided s’mores kit which was fun sitting by the fire in the evening. Would definitely stay here again!
