Lakefront home with dock, lake views, Ping-Pong, outdoor kitchen, private beach

This house needs an interior makeover. It's old, outdated, and doesn't smell that great.

This property's beautiful location, unfortunately, does not make up for the serious maintenance issues we experienced. The numerous problems we encountered suggest a significant lack of attention from both the owner and Vacasa. The most critical issue was the constant lack of running water. This was not just an inconvenience—it was a major disruption to our entire trip, as we were unable to wash, shower, or flush toilets for long periods. Despite our repeated communication with Vacasa, the issue was unresolved, and we never received a follow-up. Several other amenities were either unusable or in poor condition: the spa was filthy and clearly had not been properly maintained; the paddle boat and kayak had broken parts rendering them unusable; and the grill and indoor stove were so caked in grease they posed a fire hazard. While the natural surroundings were lovely, the numerous problems and lack of responsiveness from Vacasa made our stay far from relaxing.

This house is lovely - perfect location close to town and great provided outdoor amenities (paddle boat, kayaks, dock, etc). The house is a bit dated though and was missing blinds in the main toilet room. The neighbor next door is clearly very bothered by guests staying here so just be aware….but otherwise a great place to relax and spend a few days.

We had an amazing time at the Lazy K Lake House. This rental truly has it all and offers the best of what Flathead Lake has to offer. We have been renting houses on Flathead for about 15 years now and this is the best we have experienced. We hope to be back! Just one heads up: with the lake level not reaching full pool this year (and likely for future years), if you are planning on bringing a boat, you might want to check with property management on whether or not the other slip marked for the other/ranch house is available, as the slip marked for the Lake House is closest to the shore and wasn't deep enough for most boats during our stay. It's possible to park a boat and trailer in the driveway, but it gets a bit tight for other vehicles. And, if you aren't an expert at backing a trailer, I recommend using the Somers public ramp instead of Lakeside's. The Lakeside ramp is right off the highway and has a very short dock, so it's a bit challenging.

This is now the second time we have visited the Lazy K in Peaceful Bay property. We had four couples that joined us for a weekend on the lake and Big Sky Festival. During the day we enjoyed boating, sitting on the dock, yard games, and cooking out on the outdoor patio. At night we loved the ability to use the hot tub and fire pit. It was an added bonus how close the boat launch was in Lakeside. We decided to make this event and property an annual tradition. Already looking forward to next year!

Positives: the location was super convenient for our trip to Glacier Park and the lakeside yard was beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor patio and kitchen/dining area. The kayaks and paddleboat were fun and the hot tub was awesome. The massage chair downstairs was AMAZING and the upstairs beds were comfortable. We were able to host 8 adults. The town of Lakeside had a great grocery store and other food and recreation options. Neutral: janky sponge in the kitchen and only 4 Finish pods for the dishwasher for a 5 day stay. The paper towels were flimsy and there were no napkins provided. The propane tank for the grill was nearly empty so we had to go get it filled and the outdoor heater did not work at all. The sliding screen door was off the kitchen dining area and leaning up agains the outdoor heater. Downers: It was not well advertised that there are multiple steps to get from the foyer to anywhere in the house. It was tricky for my 87 yr old mom with a bad hip. The pingpong table was not very useable, there were only 2 paddles and 1 was broken; the location of the home is on an inlet bay so you can not see the whole lake from the home. The carpeting has seen better days. Looked like it needed a good cleaning and the carpet in the pingpong room was visibly dirty. Downstairs mattresses were a bit lumpy and hard and the bathrooms were not very clean. The shower curtain in Master bath was inadequate to keep water from spraying out on the floor.

This place has everything you could possibly want for amenities. The indoor space was incredible, with multiple levels and areas to relax, watch a movie, or play games. I COULD NOT get enough of the outdoor space though... heavenly hot tub, beautiful deck, awesome dock. I think one of the best things about Lazy K is its close enough to town to get coffee, dinner or shops while still having the feeling of starry nights free of light-pollution or pesky street lamps. Very relaxing, would return!
