Enjoy the Simple Blessings of life at this lake home located in a quiet cove of the Little Saluda River area of Lake Murray. This area is known for the best fishing on Lake Murray and is just 15 minutes by water to a full-service marina. The daily bird show from the Aviary Reserve just across the lake is also a treat.
The dock has a large seating area with water, electricity, a sink, and a counter for easy cleanup. The attached floating dock gives easy access for swimming and boating. A ramp for small crafts is also available.
The large sundeck and spacious yard are perfect for any outdoor activity. Each bedroom offers a view of the lake. The open floor plan affords ample living space and a separate dining room.

The location is peaceful and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.
Overall it was a positive and fun trip. As all rentals go there is always something that you would do different. The places we have stayed in the past had a small supply of ziplocks, aluminum foil, parchment paper, wax paper, etc. for use by the guest. Although this location did supply cute welcome bags with toiletries and fish stuff, there was not much more. This is definitely a location that you need to supply all kitchen cooking items (outside dishes). I would also suggest to the owners not having the knives in the very bottom drawer. Thankfully we have a 3 year old who does not go through drawers but I can very easily see that being a hazard for families with young children. Also, the AC was a bit of an issue. We ended up running to the Walmart and getting two stand fans to help circulate the air and keep it cool. The poop unit could not keep up with the high 90s feels like 100+ temps. One of the days even though we had it set at 74 it was struggling to stay below 80 (would get to 78 and then go back up to 80). We ended up putting blankets over all the windows to help keep it cool but that still didn’t help much. Also the beds need some love. They definitely are not comfortable and could use an upgrade. I am not complaining at all because we still had a good time. These are just a few things that I suggest the owners look into. Also there is a bush down to the right of the dock that has a copper head snake that lives in it.
It is quiet but needs maintenance, water was not on the dock as advertised, two of the outside doors don't close properly
Place was nice and we enjoyed, however ac would not keep up and we actually left on Sunday due to house being to hot.
After reading the below review I was a little nervous, but we did not see a single bug during our stay, and we have a 3 year old little boy that loves to find bugs! The house is so cute and the view is beautiful! If you’re looking at pictures it looks a little outdated but it’s not! There is plenty of space for 6 people to be comfortable in this house. It’s a super cozy house and should we return to the area we will definitely return to this house as the location was prefect as well!
We found live cockroaches on the floor and under the bed covers. When I reported the cockroaches to the manager, I received no response. Since we live in Pittsburgh, all our luggage and clothing are sitting outside in the cold hoping to kill any possible eggs. The TV doesn't respond to any of the remotes, consequently, it serves as a nightlight. The only remote that works just shuts down the satellite receiver. We only had one garbage bag, so therefore it was a good thing we went grocery shopping and they still have plastic bags in SC.
Very remote area- long drive to central stores and shopping centers
Some buddies came down on a fishing trip. We enjoyed our stay and the cabin on the lake.
Beautifully kept yard with plenty of space to run around. Deck was a good size too, grilled worked perfectly. House was cozy, could easily sleep 6 people comfortably. Neighborhood is quiet, was perfect for relaxing.
Wonderful cozy home with a beautiful view of the lake. The private boat ramp and dock (with electricity & water) are great ! Even with broad band internet, our kids loved the “vintage” board games. We loved our stay and will definitely be going back in the spring.
