Some lifejackets available. Guests are encouraged to bring their own to ensure correct fit.

13 reasons this might NOT be the right vacation home for you. PLEASE READ before booking.
1. You're looking for a party house. . . or your group is rowdy and won't be able to respect our neighbors. This is a quiet setting (equipped with a decibel-monitoring system to ensure compliance!), as we love our neighbors and the peace of the area. For guests to stay here, it's important they agree to help maintain the peace of the area. NO MUSIC OUTSIDE the home, and no disruptive or loud noise (shouting, singing, partying, etc.) at any time of the day. Any music inside the house MUST NOT be audible outside the house. Each booking is subject to a $500 noise deposit, refundable if noise rules and neighbors are respected.
2. Your group won't be able to respect property lines. ABSOLUTELY NO TRESPASSING outside the property onto our neighbor's properties.
3. The sixth bedroom and bathroom are in the basement. There's an egress window and quite a bit of natural light; however, no lake views. (Most other rooms do have lake views!)
4. In the summer, the ground by the lake can become a bit soggy. This occurs for a variety of reasons, but we can't control it unfortunately.
5. Due to the on-demand hot water heater, occasional variation in water temperatures during showers can occur.
6. Steps to the lake and seasonal lake access closures. Approximately 50 steps down to the water. Additionally, due to safety concerns, the lower level lake access is closed from approximately November-March.
7. Swimming requires use of a ladder off the dock--no ability to walk into the water.
8. The upstairs rooms share one small full bathroom (for room with Cali King and crib, room with two queens and two singles, common space with two queens). The bathroom is off the common space. Main floor has two full bathrooms, which is a bit disproportionate to the distribution of beds.
9. No garage.
10. Narrow (but long) lot. ABSOLUTELY NO TRESPASSING onto our neighbors' properties!
11. Surrounding area has only a few local restaurants and convenience stores. More restaurants and commercial attractions are nearby in Whitehall, North Muskegon, and Muskegon, but there's a limited offering within 15 minutes.
12. We do not provide firewood, but it is sold locally.
13. Home is not baby-proof.

What a really good place for us to stay for the weekend was the unanimous comment from our group. Plenty of sleeping spaces, sufficient bathrooms, efficient kitchen and dining area, and enjoyable activities in the house and nearby. Our family of 14 persons, living in three countries, has never been together before. We needed a place that made this experience a valuable time together. This house was perfect for us.
We come to this area yearly and LOVE this property. It is close to where we want to be and to places we go to. It is great everything is there to relax, have fun and enjoy family.
The house is very large and the amenities were all you could ask for. The 48 steep, wooden stairs to go down to the water was a lot. Especially for me with a bad leg. And most parents had to carry their kids. But was great once you got down there.
This home is amazing! Anything you could possibly want or need is provided. The kitchen has great appliances as well as anything else you may need for ease of cooking in. The large table allows for everyone to eat together!! We didn’t have any outdoor time between the snow and our schedule, but that didn’t matter because there are multiple TVs as well as a pool table, ping pong table, foosball table and many board games. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are well stocked and really nice! If you have a lot of people or want a lot of space to spread out, this is the place for you!!!
Quiet place with beautiful views! We enjoyed our stay and would stay again!
We have been coming to this area for many years. It is very quiet and relaxing. The house met all our needs.
Great to stay at a property large enough for the entire family stay in one place! Great kitchen. As beautiful as advertised. Great place!
This is a beautiful property sitting on Duck Lake which has an inlet into Lake Michigan. Numerous kayaks and paddle boards are provided, as well as life jackets to fit a wide range of children up to large adults. The dock and ladder are good for launching the watercraft and for fishing. It's also a great spot for watching the sun set. The house is spacious with a well-equipped kitchen. A feature we appreciated was table and seating for twelve in the kitchen/dining area, which is duplicated on the large deck. The lower level is well done with a great game room, a theater/TV room, and a bedroom with full bathroom. A second refrigerator located in the lower level is great for chilling drinks and storing extra food. In the evenings, we made use of the fire pit for roasting hot dogs and s'mores. Campfire games and stories were a big hit. My family enjoyed the water activities on Duck Lake, as well as the beach at Lake Michigan. Proximity to the Silver Lake area provided an adventurous day at the dunes. Considering the activities our family enjoyed, this property is a possible repeat. Thank you Rachel, Hannah, and Pete.
Lots of room for kids and/or adults. Table games, tvs and places to sleep without sharing a bed or sleeping on the couch. Exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommended.
This was a quick mid winter getaway for us with our kids and grandkids. The house, location and amenities were so awesome. The touches of extra soap, paper products, fully stocked kitchen ware was superb! Game room downstairs amazing! We will be coming back for sure! Thank you for everything!
