Lakefront Family Retreat: Skiing & Mountain Biking

We so enjoyed our week long stay. The house was lovely and very comfortable for 8 adults. Any questions we had were answered really quickly. Great experience all round.

Stayed here with a few friends and we absolutely loved it. The water was easily accessible and we spent most of our days out on the dock, paddleboarding, or swimming. The dock has an umbrella which provided some shade as well. The fire pit was a plus and we used it every night we were there. The house has more than enough space for groups to eat, hangout, and play board games. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, which made mealtime easy. The host also recommended some activities nearby and we enjoyed getting out and exploring the area. We really hope to come back!

We enjoyed our stay. The house accommodated our group of 10 comfortably. There was plenty to do in the area snowboarding, a casino, a sleigh ride and even fireworks. We were disappointed to learn the morning of our arrival that the oven was not working. Several family members have food allergies and planned on cooking there instead of eating out.

The home was beautiful and better then expected. The lake was breathtaking especially in the mornings and evenings. Host were wonderful and even recommended different activities near by. I would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous stay and here's why:Private setting and quiet pond. Lots of water sports so both sets of teenagers were fully engaged - including fishing!Add to that some outdoor games we could play on the side yard, and much fun was had by all.Firepit was perfectly positioned overlooking the pond with 10 Adirondack chairs!Big, beautiful living room accommodated our party of 8 easily. The center coffee table is a show-stopper!We greatly appreciated the large kitchen table and kitchen!The teenage boys LOVED the upstairs bedroom with multiple beds AND double TVs.The older teens loved being downstairs where it was well equipped like an apartment - and away from the younger teens.We had no issues with timely communication from rental manager and owner.We enjoyed the fact we could drive 10 minutes to Bethel for anything we needed.Or hike up Mt. Abrams. Or take the chairlift up Mt. Abrams and bike down.Fun literally for young and old on this beautifully situated house on South Pond. Thank you for making your home available so we could enjoy a lovely extended family vacation in Maine on the water!!

We had a great time at this property! The customer service was top-notch, and all responses were prompt. The home was extremely clean—this is important to me! There was a great view of the lake.

House was great with large rooms and space for all to hang out. Well situated with a short ride to Sunday River. The back of the house over looked the frozen lake and the sunrises over the mountains were awesome. perfect house for a family or a group of friends. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Sunday River. House was as described on the listing.

A quick 15-20 minute ride to Sunday River (leave by 7:30am on the weekends to avoid that 20 minute drive turning into a 1-hour drive!) House was nicely appointed and large enough to host our family and our friends. Beautiful views of the lake in the winter, so we can imagine how beautiful this would be in the summer. A few things weren't operable when we arrived (gas fire place and jacuzzi tub in main floor bedroom) but the owner made us aware of that. These were not big deals to us.

This house is beautiful and the location is perfect! My family and I had an amazing time while staying at this property. The interior of the house is recently updated and stunning. Very spacious and clean with good lighting. All beds and couches are very comfortable. A highlight for me, was starting each day at the dock with a cup of coffee. Perfect house for a large family or group. Highly recommend.

This house is a dream. If you are looking to get out of the city for the weekend, or just want a cozy chic location to gather with friends, this is the home for you! I took a group of gals away for a weekend retreat, and this was truly the perfect location. By the end of it, we did not want to leave. It overlooks the lake and is surrounded by trees, helping us to feel grounded and at rest. The home is spacious and cozy and was the perfect environment to connect with one another over meals and play games. There are various hiking trails within walking distance and we were a 10-minute drive from the local grocery store and delicious restaurant Le Mu Eats! 7 people was a perfect amount, as each of us slept in our own bed, which were extremely comfortable--many naps took place over the weekend haha. We are very grateful for our stay and definitely plan to return!
