The house has dirty dishes, pots, pans, glasses, and silverware in the cabinets and drawers - sticky, with food still on them. The “clean” linens had belongings from prior guests in between them. The pellet stove that was needed to heat the house did not have pellets available to make it work. The showers had mold and mildew in the doors, there were cobwebs everywhere, the pillows smelled like cigarette smoke. We reached out to management about the heat and the fact that when we arrived the trash was completely full so there was no where to dispose of trash and they did not resolve those issues. Maybe this house would be ok for a summer stay, but in the cold I would not stay here. In addition, given the lack of cleanliness, we would not stay here again.
Nice place for a weekend/week getaway. Very spacious and cozy. Enjoyed having the pellet stove on the 2 winter nights we stayed. Beautiful view of the lake and easy to get to and from the cottage to surrounding attractions
Our recent stay at this holiday rental between October 13, 2023, and October 15, 2023, was marred by a significant issue that had a severe impact on our experience. The gas burner in the kitchen was not working, and this fact was not disclosed when we made our booking. As a result, we were unable to cook our meals and were forced to spend more on dining out. This unexpected expense and inconvenience left us with a very bad experience overall. It's disappointing that this crucial information was not communicated upfront, and we would caution potential guests to verify the functionality of all amenities before booking.
Great funky 70's chalet style lake house, nice but not too nice, roomy with great open first floor area, den area on balcony level, and tight spiral staircase leading to a cool loft bedroom that is better suited for kids than adults. Private beach area is great for launching kayaks, canoes, and small flatboats, and the fishing was great!
The place was great for our winter getaway. Close to skiing and tubing for our young family and the frozen pond in the back kept the kids busy. Only complaint was that the pellet stove was not operable (no pellets) so the house was a bit cold. The regular furnace had a tough time heating the place by itself.
Spacious and well equipped house. Good service. We loved going on the kayaks right from the backyard into the pond. Had a great time swimming in the pond and later sitting by the fire pit.
The property needs a lot of updates, mildewed carpet in quest bedroom, refrigerator not working properly, tub backed up, sliders very hard to open/close, frayed wires. Beach area was nice, kids had fun. One kayak kept filling with water, rowboat broken. Pictures on line were misleading. Not going to rent here again.
This house is a study in blue--the exterior, the counters, the table, the couches, all dishware and utensil. Quite impressive, really. Overall, the house was comfortable and set up to enjoy each other's company. The giant windows face the lake, was was gorgeous. HOWEVER. I would have given the house 3-3.5 stars, but Vacasa was SUPER-responsive about everything, so it got 4 stars. There's a fair amount of deferred maintenance in the home. The upstairs shower leaked into the main floor rather alarmingly. The main house heat was insufficiently powerful to warm the house. The pellet stove warmed the main area of the house, but not the upstairs bedrooms. There were also not enough pellets for the weekend, so we had to get Vacasa to send more. We'd consider staying here again if the maintenance work got done.
Spent the week there with my wife, our 2 girls and my parents. Very quiet and peaceful. The private cove was nice. My kids didn't want to get out of the water or the kayaks. We would definitely stay here again.
I'll start by saying Vacasa was great whenever we had issues during our stay which was often during our time. The house is in a nice location near a nice beach down the road that we spent most of the week at. The beach at the actual house is not swimmable but a good place to launch the kayaks and paddle boats. The space in the house was good for the 8 of us but the house was quite run down and several things were not working great. As I said, Vacasa was great at responding to anything we needed. We did have a great time at the house but don't think we would go back.
