There's space for the entire family at this four-bedroom waterfront home in Norway, beautifully situated on the western shore of Pennesseewassee Lake, just half an hour from the ski resort and Pleasant Mountain. This is a place for a memorable summer in Maine, with a private dock, two kayaks, a pair of stand-up paddleboards, and a canoe to take out on the water daily. Sunday River Resort is open for all seasons with an on-site dock and is great for canoeing and outdoor activities.
This lakefront home boasts a quiet, rural setting just over two miles outside downtown Norway. The incredible lake view can be taken in as you prepare breakfast in the kitchen, grill and dine on the expansive back deck, and gather around the firepit each evening for s'mores, stories, and stargazing.
The living spaces are spread out across three floors, with wood-paneled walls adding warmth and character throughout. The great room combines the well-equipped kitchen (with a large breakfast bar and stainless steel appliances), the dining area, and a cozy living room with a big-screen TV and a leather sectional. For even more at-home fun, head downstairs to the game room in the walk-out basement to find air hockey, foosball, and another TV.

Everything is as advertised. Beautiful home with everything you need to have a great time. There were six of us and we had more than enough room. We have family in the area and needed a place to stay for a wedding. It was cold and snowy so we are already planning a summer visit to take advantage of the private dock and boat access. Only issue was the water. It's well water, which we are used to, and the pressure was great. The cold water was clear and tasted fine but when you turned to the hot there is a distinct smell of rotten eggs. I reached out to the owner, and they suggested letting the water run for a while. That seemed to help a little but the smell never fully dissipated. Probably and easy fix.
This house has a wonderful layout for families and guests of all ages. It was well equipped for water sports as well as indoor games. The three levels made it feel very roomy. The easy access to the lake was just as pictured in the website. Having two floats was a nice bonus.
Great place to hang with family. Love the deck to sit out and have coffee and late night talks. The home was very comfortable . We really enjoyed our stay. I also have a home on the lake but was hosting a wedding and need the extra space. I would highly recommend this place. Thanks for sharing your home
We have been going to Lake Pennesseewassee for decades. This proved to be a grand reunion!
The location, lake and space of house was awesome. Our biggest issues was with the amenities. The refrigerator water and ice machine did not work. One of the burners on the stove did not work and the rest were sketchy at best. The stove top light was broken. The pots and pans were dirty and old in need of replacing. The ceiling fan light was broken and the fan had one speed, slow and could not be changed. The home speakers, inside and out, did not work. The main level bathroom shower doors were broken and as a result the shower could not be used. The homes well water desperately needs a filter for the sulfur smell! The smell was almost unbearable! The home had one AC unit which helped but not for the bedrooms. The air hockey game worked intermittently. The corn hole bags were old, ripped and unusable. The grounds were well overdue for cutting and trimming. One of the kayaks floated but that's about it. The fire wood supplied was pressure treated lumber, which, when burned is highly toxic.
Beautiful lake views. Quiet and peaceful
Although the weather didn’t cooperate during our stay, the house, yard, lake, and amenities were wonderful. The house was clean, the kitchen is big, there's plenty of space to spread out on all 3 floors. Rain 5 out of 7 days prevented us from boating a lot, but what we were able to do was really beautiful. Plus, the town of Norway is pretty and quaint, and all of the stores anyone would need are within 5-15 minutes of the house.
Amazing place all the amenities you could want and more!!! Great location very very clean. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
A little post holiday getaway. The house was great and fit our wants and needs perfectly. We loved it all!
Such a beautiful home right on the lake. Perfectly appointed with everything needed for family dinners overlooking the beautiful lake. Spacious basement for watching football and kids movies. I can’t think of nicer location to spend time with the family. Plenty of comfortable beds for flexible sleeping! We will definitely be back to take advantage of this beautiful and comfortable home!
This home was everything you would think a log cabin would be and so much more. The view was spectacular, very secluded and quiet area with so much to offer. The house is fully equipped, you will feel like its home away from home. The game room was such a bonus too!! Jeff and Ellen were so attentive and helpful leading up to our trip. We spent thanksgiving here, and made some amazing memories. Highly recommend staying at Palisades Pine with your family and/or Friends.
This was a lovely home in a charming Lake neighborhood. Scattered with traditional Maine lake cottages. Loons greeted us off our dock throughout the day and night. The house had ample comfortable space for our family to gather. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were comfortable. We appreciated having three full baths when 6 adults were dressing for a wedding. We were primarily there for the wedding so could not completely enjoy the lake, but if we’d had time there were kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe to employ. We were thrilled to be able to bring our dogs. They certainly enjoyed the lake. The location was convenient to town yet felt like we were deep in the Maine woods. We would return again.
