We had everything we needed. We loved cooking on the pellet grill, definitely buying one when we get back home. We loved the wild cats, we bought treats for them and they never were a bother. It's so quiet and peaceful. We ended up renting a boat on property and enjoying a day on the lake with our family. Our host Bob was fantastic and checked on us to make sure we were comfortable. The laundry area also was very convenient. We enjoyed our month stay.

Everything went completely smooth. It's a 2nd story unit. Beautiful view, clean, ready. We enjoyed 2 beautiful nights on the water. After a full day at Renaissance Faire we really enjoyed the spa. Thank you!

My husband and I had a really nice stay. The house itself, stairs, and the decor could use a little maintenance and replacement, but overall good. It looks like they've maybe already started working on this issue. You can't beat the view!! The yard and dock are pretty. The neighborhood cats are friendly. If you are really tall the bathroom will feel too narrow, like your knees will touch the tub, but the shower/tub is big and relaxing. The hot tub outside is well maintained, but if you're on the upper floor just note that you need to walk down the front steps and around the house to the lower floor's porch. We will very likely return.

Such a great place to stay for a girls trip, loved being able to hang out on the deck and dock by the water to relax. Very quiet setting, remote and beautiful. Would recommend staying at Bob’s place anytime you’re in the area!

The view was even better in person. You can see the lake from every window. We really enjoyed our stay, very relaxing. We would book again.

Kitchen set up great. Bedrooms nice beds comfortable. Hot tub very nice. Only problem we had was finding the place most of address missing off entrance pole. You’d never find it at night.Laughed at chair in living room . I’ve the exact same chair in my living room.Ants in bathroom and darn flying black bugs but it’s lake property so we expected it Sunrise and sunset beautiful. Close to shopping and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. May return again. Thank you

We had a great stay. Would definitely return to this property. Felt like a tree house getaway. Very quiet and tidy. Close to everything. There was a Japanese resturant by the papa johns was great.

One of the best places i have stayed

This property was everything we were hoping for..clean, cozy, quiet, and directly on the lake! The communication with the owner was the best and friendliest we have encountered through VRBO thus far and we have had many VRBO rentals. We will definitely stay here again, hopefully in the very near future!!

We stayed at Rosella to enjoy family time on the lake during the day and to spend time with friends after work hours in Uptown Charlotte. It worked perfectly! My husband comfortably worked from the Lake House at the private desk nook in the bedroom. The kids and I enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock, kayaking, and relaxing on the screened porch during the day. The house and property were very quiet, perfect for daytime naps for our youngest. For outings, we visited Discovery Place Science, the Whitewater Center, and Optimist Hall - all within a 20-minute drive. On our final day, we rented one of the pontoons off the dock to explore more of the lake and swim at the sandbar. This was a highlight of the trip! Thank you to Bob, Rosella team, Richard, and the friendly crew of Lake House cats for a wonderful stay!

Amazing view. About 20 minutes from downtown. Well updated older property. Great dock to jump from or to launch the kayaks. Excellent communication from owner. The 6 cats sharing the property were an added bonus.

Perfect location. Great for a quick weekend visit to Charlotte for two adults and a teenage son.

Great place! We loved the property and had a great time. Bob was great and communicated quickly when we contacted him. We enjoyed using the kayaks, sitting on the screened in porch, and watching the cats on the property. We also loved that we could bring our dog with us. He loved the trip as well!

A very beautiful location and comfortable, clean home. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the enclosed deck enjoying the lake. We took advantage of the onsite kayaks and the hot tub. Bob is a very responsive host.

We were on the 2nd floor. Brought our collie with us. She loved the activity too. View was great! Lots of boating activity which was entertaining on the enclosed porch. Beautiful place. Owner was informative and helpful. Would definitely come again. Thank you Robert!

Overall a really wonderful stay at the lake. Bob was very communicative with easy check in and check out. It was myself, my husband and our dog. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!The accommodations were spacious and nice. We had what we needed to cook dinner. The ice maker and water dispenser in the fridge did not work which was a bummer. The screened in porch was nice to sit and enjoy the views on.We enjoyed lounging on the dock and swimming. Especially our dog! There are stairs to access the water so our dog was able to go in and out easily. The dock at the house is used to rent out boats so you do have people coming to the property to get on their boat rental and come back when they are returning. Some stayed a little longer than I would have expected so it can definitely interfere with the enjoyment of the amenities but overall wasn’t too much of a nuisance. We loved the kayaks and had a great time taking them out in the mornings when the lake wasn’t busy. The hot tub was really nice and easy to take the cover off. Having the outdoor shower for after a lake day was just perfect! They provided some small toiletries and a blow dryer which was very appreciated.They also left a basket of snacks on the counter which is a really great touch. We enjoyed those! Bring your bug spray for the outdoor areas!We will definitely be back and will rent a boat next time.

We loved our stay! The bed was comfortable, the view is amazing (better than the pictures), and the cats were a bonus. They keep their distance but are clearly well cared for. The hot tub was nice and clean. The dock is awesome, I would try renting a boat next time. There were SO many Mayflies around the stairs to the dock we mostly avoided it (Mayflies don’t bite or sting so they’re harmless). The new restaurant next door is going to be so nice when it opens and the location is great if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful but an easy and short drive into Charlotte.

Rosella is located in a very peaceful and quiet setting. It was a nice getaway from the city hustle. The property was nice and clean with a great view. The cats were fun to watch as well. We would stay again for sure.

Fabulous. Just what I needed. There is such peace in gazing out at a beautiful sunrise from a comfortable chair on your own private deck. Location was quiet calm peaceful safe. I will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! Which had a great view of the lake, we stayed on the second level and enjoyed having a cup of coffee watching the sunset. The hot tub in the was a great amenitie! The location is only 20 minutes from Charlotte, which was fantastic since we were in town for a concert and the Nascar Hall of Fame. We really loved hanging out with the cats on the property. They were so adorable and friendly! Absolutely would stay here again, awesome host!

The unit is exactly as described - clean, well appointed, has everything you would need or want. Owner is responsive and answered all of my questions quickly. It was overall a very pleasant experience. The only thing is I had someone staying below me who warned me within the first moments we arrived that they had an unfriendly dog. The owner ironed it out (turns out the dog was small, which - personally- I still don’t want to be bitten by a small dog, but whatever) but on several occasions I did overhear them talking outside about the situation in a way that made it seem like I was exaggerating/blowing things out of proportion or something. I’m a pretty non confrontational person but I had my kids and my own senior dog there… any mom who is literally warned about someone’s unfriendly dog would have done what I did. It was an uncomfortable situation for our family until the other tenants left. Not the owners fault per se (I don’t know if he was one of the people outside talking about it) but still, put a bit of a dark cloud over a portion of our stay. I WILL say that if you’re into birdwatching you will have a wonderful time at this place. I sat on the screen porch for a few hours and recorded dozens of different birds in that time. The view is beyond compare.

Wow, what an amazing experience. The view is incredinle. My daughter and granddaughter and I rented the pontoon boat that was docked just a few steps away and we spent the whole day on the water We had a nice soak in the hot tub overlooking the lake that evening. I can't wait to go back!

I had booked this spot as a last minute trip for a family emergency, and at the VERY last minute weather cancelled my flight. Robert was SO kind from the beginning - offering condolences, help where needed, and understanding at the last minute cancellation. We will be back to stay FOR SURE! Can't wait to actually see the property in person! Cannot recommend this owner enough!

Right on the lake. The apartment was really decorated nicely and veyr comfortable. Spent time on the screened in porch which affords a beautiful view of the lake.

Needed a place to stay close to Christmastown USA that would allow our doggie. This place fit the bill perfectly. Great views , very clean , excellent communication with property management !! Would love to come back in the summer and rent a boat to dock there. Easily accessible from the highway and close enough to Charlotte to adventure downtown.

The stay was great but just a heads up you may want to check the attic for squirrels .

The host was super responsive and helpful. I was not a fan of the stray cats on the property, but I missed that on the listing. Good stay overall. Very quiet and peaceful.

Had a few negative issues. When we arrived at 4pm our unit wasn’t clean. Cleaning crew came in to clean while we went out and when we arrived back later that night the flint door was open letting the heat out and we instructed them when they were done to lock door and we had the key. Host did allow us to use the unused unit downstairs while ours was being cleaned. One of the beds is on a floating stand and you couldn’t sit on the side of the bed only enter and exit the bed from the foot of bed. My biggest negative and was not listed on Vrbo was there are 6 grown cats that stay on this property that will drive you crazy. If you’re a cat person it’s not an issue but I am not. Other than that had a good stay for 2 nights!

We had just what we wanted and needed during 3 day stay to visit family in the area. The beds were comfortable and the cottage/condo was very clean! We loved especially the beautiful lake views from the porch! Bob was prompt in answering any questions we had and offered help in navigating the TV/Tech issues when we couldn’t figure them out ourselves. Thank you! Bob is a very good communicator and his attentiveness made our stay relaxing and peaceful.The location is not remote but proved to be a challenge to get to the last night of our stay due to an accident which closed off access for awhile but that couldnt be helped. Would stay here again. Thanks again.

Great location. House is very comfortable with everything you need. Dock is nice. We enjoyed having our coffee out there every morning. Beautiful view from the porch. We fished off the dock and caught a lot of variety of fish. The host is very polite and responsive! Looking forward to staying here again the next time we are in the area!

Bob and Kim are wonderful hosts, instantly responding if we needed anything at all. Rosella is awesome, very clean, and comfortable beds and furniture. The lake view is so peaceful, this place is just like going home. Next time we go back to this area, we will certainly book this lovely place again!

Hidden gem, off the beaten path but accessible to all Charlotte has to offer. Great quiet spot on the lake. Perfect for someone looking for a pleasant getaway - comfortable and cozy - with enough creature comforts but not posh. Just what was needed for a quick weekend away to decompress. A dip in the hot tub, lake, fun outdoor shower, BBQ and plenty of cookware if you just want to stay in and enjoy the gorgeous view. The host was very kind and accommodating.

Booked 4 nights and had an amazing vacation. Lost power for 10hrs during a Hurricane but ownecontacted thr power outage.. Enjoyed the fiahing and hot tub

The Lakefront Cottage is a peaceful retreat located right on the lake. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch soaking up the chill vibe of the water. The cottage location is a great balance of being near outdoor opportunities as well as food and dining and access to the highway which allowed us to explore Charlotte and the lakes. We look forward to returning in the future when we need another relaxing vacation in the Charlotte area!

Wii was broken. Couldn't get connected to the wifi for some reason. Only one board available (Trivial Pursuit) but was missing the instructions. No tackle for the fishing equipment. So missed out on a lot of family stuff right there. I would had brought those things from home if I had known. Didn't get to try out the hot tub because of rain, but seemed clean and ready to go. Saw a few cockroaches on the property but never inside. Got to use the two available kayaks and life-vest with my daughter and had a great time out on the lake exploring the shoreline. Took a swim in the lake with her too. Great condition dock and rental pontoon boat. Amazing view and great screened-in back porch to watch the passing boaters and sunset. That was one of my favorite things about the place as an adult. About five or so friendly but shy cats live on the property and that was probably my daughter's favorite thing about the place lol. Complimentary snacks and water bottles were left for us which was nice. Would go here again if it was cheaper and those aforementioned problems were remedy. Note that people were staying in the floor below us but were never a problem (this is disclosed in the listing). Also note that 4 or so cars parked up the driveway and the people walked through the yard to access the rental poontoon boat one of the days we were staying there. We didn't mind, but just a warning for others who may want more privacy on their vacation.

We had a wonderful time at Rosella! The host was communicative and accommodating. The home was cozy and clean. The kitchen was stocked with the supplies we needed for making meals at home. Renting a boat directly from the dock was a seamless process. We were able to fully relax in the lake and hot tub. We definitely will be returning!
