Lakefront cabin with private boat ramp, lake access, wrap-around porch, firepit

The cabin was very charming. It had everything we needed. One thing they should do is update gps location because it takes you to a different entrance. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Beautiful setting. Could use an upgraded couch in main living room.

Another great stay on Moosehead Lake! This place comes with a fully stocked kitchen ( pots,pans,spices,etc) and a dock and boat launch on the property! The sunsets from your bedroom window are unbelievable

Beautiful sunsets.,boat launch, dock, kitchen with all the essentials,smart tvs, everything we could ask for ,this place has. Booked again for the end of the month. Do I need to say more?

Loved that the house was on the lake with full access to the dock for fishing.

Our (wife & I) third time here. Love it as it has everything we need for a week of boating/fishing, and spectacular sunsets.

I love that it has it's own boat launch and screen porch overlooking the water.

Don't get me wrong this is a nice place; and I'd feel blessed to own it myself. However, after staying at Moosehead Lake waterfront rentals for the past decade, it's overpriced for what it is and the customer service was atrocious. It's managed by Vacasa, which means when you ask questions, you get a response from someone at a call center who has no local knowledge of the property besides reading the same listing you already have access to. They have never been to the property or the Moosehead Lake area. The good - well kept up, has boat launch, dock you can tie a boat to, waterfront location, kitchen is well stocked, bathroom comfortable to shower in, king bed nice and roomy, and it was nice and quiet. Room for improvement - Inside of cabin much smaller than photos, outside area much smaller than photos make it look (and there is a boathouse that eats up most of the view and the small viewshed has 2 boats moored right in front of it), the dock is too small to hang out on and in need of repair (wood sticking out of sides, so needed large bumpers to tie boat there safely), and the furniture was uncomfortable (wicker on covered porch and saggy couch inside). So, all things considered, I would not recommend it for the cost. Overpriced.

Second year staying at Split Rock. Love it, has everything we need and more. Hope to be back.
