Lakefront Cabin w/ Mountain views & Private dock!

It's a very nice property with an amazing view. We hope to return to truly enjoy it, as a wind change caused smoke from a nearby forest fire to swallow us up - we ended up needing to leave in less than 24 hours. Take away that infrequent twist, and I would highly recommend booking this beautiful spot!

This property is absolutely amazing. The view of Lake Cushman, the quiet, the lake access. All of it is top tier. When we travel, we pick the place based on the view and access to the water, not too much on the amenities (except when we travel to warmer climates we always make sure there is AC). That being said, this property has literally anything you need. We took advantage of the toaster oven, gas oven & range, the blackstone grill, washer/dryer, literally all of it. The showers were great as well. The communication from Kim, the property manager, was amazing as well. Prior to our check in, she let us know of a minor issue that came up from the previous renters, which was appreciated. We had myself, my wife and 5 of our 6 kids stay and the property and it handled our family with ease. The kayaks were a big hit with the kids too!Should we come back to this part of the country, we will absolutely stay at the Samara Lake House again! Highly recommend!

Beautiful house nestled on a very quiet lake. House was well appointed and very clean. My family enjoyed kayaking around the lake and spending time out on the deck. Manager was able to provide some suggestions for hiking in the area due to the closure of the Staircase area from the forest fire.

Amazing property; such a great view! It has it's own dock with kayaks, but there is also a pass to visit the private beaches. There are plenty of kitchen appliances and tools to make cooking such a breeze. The rest of the house is full of great amenities for all ages (games, toys, books, rock painting and other crafts). There is a Blackstone griddle on the deck, but it would need a grinder and multiple layers of seasoning before I would consider using it. It's not even close to being a deal breaker, but in case you see it in the photos, consider this your heads up. We ate every meal outside on the deck and soaked in the lake life. Our whole family loved the trip and we look forward to coming back repeatedly.

I don't think you can beat the view you have from this home in any property. We've stayed at a lot of homes over the years, but this was the best view. Lake Cushman and Mt. Olympic are stunning from the main living space and deck. The home had all that you would need for a comfortable stay and plenty of space. My only complaint is that the beds in the rooms had extremely stiff mattresses and the downstairs bed frame was so creaky, if you moved during the night it would make noise and wake your significant other up. The thing we didn't quite anticipate accessing the property. The driveway is steep and downhill with other properties utilizing the same small driveway. We had two large vehicles and navigating the space was challenging. I can't imagine accessing the property in the winter or in challenging weather. The property is also slightly farther from Hoodsport than I had anticipated. That's not a big deal, but I want others to know. We took a day trip to Lake Quinault and another day trip to Port Angeles. Both were fair drives, but this was a nice midpoint to work from. Other things we checked out were the High Steel Bridge and the Staircase path. Overall, this was a nice place to stay that I would recommend.

The only vacation rental we’ve rented more than once as we like trying new places. However this locale and the views from this home are unbeatable. Had a great time with the kayaks on site too.

We finally had a destination Thanksgiving and this property definitely delivered the peaceful and serene setting we were hoping for. Instead of a Black Friday shopping rush, we decided to walk along the river and follow the staircase trail. The sound of rushing water, falls, and rapids sure beat the sounds of a typical Black Friday in the shopping centers. We certainly enjoyed the house, views, and location. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

We had such an amazing stay, we didn’t want to leave. The house is beautiful, the stairs down to the water are so convenient. Everything we needed to have a fun and relaxing time was there. Our 2 young kids (ages 1.5 and 3.5) loved all The toys in the bunk room, they had so much fun in the lake, our 3 year old got a lot of use out of the trampoline. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the deck and taking in the beautiful view and sunsets.

We spent the last week of summer here and it was fantastic. The house had everything we needed and tons of activities for kids/adults to just chill by the lake. We took kayaks out with beautiful mountain views. There is so much to do in the surrounding area I could stay here for a long time. Would definitely stay here again.

This was an incredible vacation rental. The location and view couldn’t be beat, house was clean and comfortable. I loved how it’d transform from a fun, summer lake house to a peaceful evening retreat, to a cozy cabin at night. The steps to the dock weren’t as intimidating as we’d imagined. :) The only thing I’d do differently is book a longer stay. We hope to be back!

Such a well appointed home—clean, spacious, all the tools you could ever need in the kitchen. Such a gorgeous view from the huge deck. Our kids were thrilled with the bunk room. So many extras from games to books and movies for downtime. The trampoline was quite a bonus. Had a great time kayaking from the dock. Definitely will return next summer.

Overall excellent family trip here. We couldn't get enough of the view and spent a ton of time out on the deck. Massive toy selection for kids in the closet, and tons of books and games around the house for added fun.

Overall we loved the house and the surrounding area. So many adventures to be had! The dock was great for time on the water and the kitchen was well-equipped. I would recommend this property to others! Our only negatives were not having a land-line to provide to emergency contacts since the internet was iffy, and some of the dishes in the cabinets were not clean upon our arrival. A suggestion would be to have some plastic cups for use outside!
