Lakefront Cabin: Kayaks, Paddle Boards & Fishing

Awesome location and a great house. Was very clean and prepared when we arrived. It was the perfect stay for a weekend to ski!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of blankets and everything we needed. The view of the lake was absolutely beautiful — especially the sunrise with the morning fog over the water. The deck was large and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful and relaxing getaway!

We had a wonderful time, property was great and communication with the host was wonderful. We were lucky that the weather was a little cooler for us, only for the reason that the air had a little trouble getting to the one bedroom upstairs. We are people that love to grill also, and the grill was a little challenging to use. But we loved it and are thinking of returning for sure !

Overall WONDERFUL place. Do NOT rent if you have small kids due to major safety concern; most groups will be fine.The GOOD:-House is BEAUTIFUL, nicely designed, spacious, very very clean.-Directly on the lake. Private dock. Large yard and deck. Peaceful. Wildlife in yard.-Tons of fun included: Kayaks, stand-up paddleboard, paddles, camp chairs, cornhole game, sports equipment, board games.-Kitchen is FULLY STOCKED: Any cooking implement we needed, soaps, paper goods, much more. Drawers and cabinets full of helpful items. Grill in good operating condition.-Beds in the 3 bedrooms were very comfortable.-Fast compact washer/dryer in kitchen.The BAD:-The railing in the loft area cannot possibly be up to modern code standards and is a 100% safety hazard for small children. The railings are spaced far apart (I could fit my adult head through easily) and low (stopped below my waist). We had a toddler and had to barricade entire loft area. TOTAL DEATH TRAP for small kids.-Day bed in loft area was so squishy we fell off just trying to sit! Not sleepable.-Hot water insufficient for consecutive showers/to fill Jacuzzi tub.The MIXED:-AC works great for main areas/upstairs open loft area, not so much for upstairs bedrooms. Struggles to keep up or must keep doors open while sleeping-Communication with local host was friendly but spotty. Took nearly 2 weeks of texts to get community assoc. fees paid; became a major stressor prior to trip. Got a minor bath repair done fast.

We had an absolutely amazing time. Being right on the lake and able to swim and kayak right from the property was amazing! We were traveling with our 15 month old toddler and this house was honestly perfect for him. We spent a lot of time on the back deck admiring the beautiful view and the side screened in porch was an added bonus. The house was very clean and spacious. Our host was super responsive and answered all our questions.

I am a retired Veteran and my wife booked this place as a surprise Father’s Day/Nascar4 day weekend getaway with our 8 and 9 yr old grandsons. This place was so awesome! The place was clean, and fully equipped with all the necessities, we were able to get food supplies with no issues, I grilled every night and we kayaked on the lake in the daytime, it was peaceful and quiet, we would love to return! And a great big shout out to the contact person; Lorin Halliwell, thank you for always responding quickly, My wife, Michele keeps singing your praises. Arrived in a snow storm right before the winter holidays. Check in was clear & easy. The house was exactly as described, and very clean and new. Beautiful views outside--with the snowstorm, it was even more beautiful, with a clear gorgeous view of the lake from every room. We did go outside in the snow, but obviously did not use the water equipment, so cannot comment on that! Plenty of games and cards for the kids. Wifi worked well in all areas as did the TV. The fireplace worked beautifully. The kitchen was fully stocked (it does have a Keurig, not coffee maker--so plan accordingly!). The only issue we had was the heat did not seem to work properly-we contacted the listed contact who responded fairly quickly with extra heat instructions (it was below-normal temps!). The neighborhood is gated and quiet. There is a nearby grocery store. We cooked every night so we did not try the restaurants. We would definitely return-in fact, my kids did not want to leave and already want to book a return!
