Lake Wheeler waterfront home with panoramic views

This was a great last-minute booking. We literally were able to book the day before. The host was very accommodating in getting the place ready for us. We absolutely loved the location. The screened in porch with the water views was just what I needed to relax. There are two bedrooms on the main level, which meant no climbing stairs at all. There are three steps coming into the house. There is a bedroom on the right with a queen size bed, a closet with the washer and dryer, and direct access into the hall bathroom. The hall bathroom has a sink, toilet and I believe it was a bathtub/shower. When exiting that room and bathroom, you pass the wall and enter into the living room dining room area. This is simply beautiful with magnificent views of the water. The kitchen is tucked behind the stairs. It is small but perfectly adequate for what you need. The master bedroom is to the left and it has a very comfortable king size bed. The master bath has a small shower, double sink, vanity, toilet, and a large walk-in closet. Off the living room or master bedroom, you can enter the screened in back porch. This porch locks. From there, you can take a few steps down into the deck. The walk down to the river is pretty steep, and there are a lot of stairs, but there are rails & good steps to go down. My husband stood down there and fished off and on while we visited. He caught several. He said it was very peaceful and beautiful down there. We really loved our stay.

I was looking for a quiet, restorative place to recharge over a long weekend and found here at the cottage. The cottage itself is clean, cozy, and has excellent outdoor space for reading, sipping wine, or jumping in the water. I can't wait to visit again!

Home was in a great location for our family and pet friendly. Beautiful views of the water. We enjoyed our stay. The only con is that home needs to be supplied with more kitchen towels, bath towels and wash cloths.

Beautiful views of the lake from the huge picture windows and comfy couches for convention or for watching movies. We had a wonderful friend’s reunion here; having a separate bath for each bedroom was a plus.

We loved this house! Our daughter was at Space Camp and this was the perfect place to stay. And work remotely as well. Highly recommend! Owner was quick to respond to questions.

Nice quiet get away. Not a lot to do if you I are lookng for excitement. Nice restaurants nearby. Antique stores to shop. Fishing wasn't that great unless you have a boat. Altogether a nice quiet trip.

This property was clean and nicely appointed. The Deck and steps needed sweeping, but can understand with all the trees around. The weather didn't cooperate, but we had plenty of indoor activities. All in all, a nice family get-together.

The place was very nice and beautiful off the lake view. The owners were welcoming and friendly I highly recommend booking their place if you ever need a vacation spot.

Phillip regularly reached out to ensure we did not need anything to help make stay more enjoyable. Property was as advertised with even greater views of lake then pictures showed in my opinion.

The house was just as pictured. It was very comfortable and the view was amazing! Even though there were houses very close on both sides we never heard or saw anyone. We were able to relax. Drove through beautiful Joe Wheeler Park and saw lots of deer. We also enjoyed visiting Athens and eating there.

We were in town visiting family and loved having this home away from home for our little family. It was perfect in every way. Location, space, and accommodations!

Visiting Rogersville Alabama family from our home in North Carolina was a long trek and we were delighted to find this dream just a few miles from them! What views! What quiet! Not only a good visit but a quiet retreat for my husband and I to enjoy coffee in morning and glass of wine at night! Very clean and host was accommodating in every way! Lovely lake views and birds to watch. We will visit again!

This is one of several VRBO houses we have rented in the area over the years, and I am happy to say this home is at the top of the list. The home and property was exactly as advertised, and every aspect of the trip was great. The view looking out over Wheeler Lake is spectacular. One thing that stood out to me was the very good comfort level of the furniture. This is an aspect of VRBO homes that I'm picky about, as more often than not the furniture is on the lower-end of the comfort and quality spectrum. Not here, the furniture (and all the furnishings) were great! Everybody in our party would gladly rent this property again in the future.

This is our second time staying at the lake house while our kids were at Space Camp. We loved the view, the peace and quiet, and being able to swim everyday. We also enjoyed renting a pontoon boat from nearby Lucy's Marina. It was a wonderful place to relax!

Very nice house and well maintained property!! Plenty of space for the kids to play and not be crowded or noisy. Screened in porch and back deck offered a fantastic view of the river. Dock was great for swimming off and catching fish!! Beds were very comfortable, kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, dishes and utensils. Would highly recommend staying here if ever in the area. Very easy drive to and from Huntsville

Beautiful house and we had a wonderful time. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were very nice and clean, and we loved the outdoor areas!!! Overall a great experience and the location was amazing!
