The property is exactly as it looks on the listing. It is on a dead end, one house off the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, which is always a plus. The only comment I would make is that we planned to cook. The kitchen could use a baking sheet and maybe leave some of the past guests extras, like sugar, flour, aluminum foil type stuff. Otherwise the guests need to purchase full size of everything and make multiple trips to the store. All in all we would stay again, I am only mentioning this as a heads up
The house was immaculate with a beautiful view of lake from the back of the house . The hosts were incredibly accommodating letting us check in early and check out late . After moving our twins in it was so nice to have a beautiful place to come back to and unwind on the beautiful deck area . It’s a beautiful rental .
We came to vacation with our family who have a place up in Seneca near this home. The home had been beautifully renovated. Loved everything about this home. We could all eat at the kitchen island which had a gorgeous wooden counter. It was perfect for us and would love to stay here again. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate with us we still had a blast. Quiet area beautiful yard. Thank you so much to the Owner Torri for letting us stay in your beautiful home. The Dawson
Our daughter graduated this weekend. Was. A great property to gather together. Lake view was beautiful. Property with all the shiplap reminded me of Joanna Gaines. Very well decorated. We all enjoyed being here.
We extended our stay for a few days. See previous 5 star review
The house sits in this quiet neighborhood close enough to the lake you can watch beautiful sunsets from it's massive back porch. I spent the majority of my trip sitting on this porch. There are several wild animals who make themselves at home on the property including chipmunks, squirrels and a family of six geese. One of the geese has a mono tone honk that sounds human. It's so strange. They loved the frozen peas we threw out for them. There was also two blue heron that stoically walk the neighborhood. The game room was perfect for the teens. My son particularly loved playing darts. Everything was fresh and clean and I'm 100% sure everyone said wow coming through the door. The kitchen is perfect for a large family. Definitely would recommend.
Very nice and a great little get-a-way!
We rented the Oconee County property to host a Thanksgiving travel dinner. The house is exactly as advertised. The kitchen is well laid out and was fantastic for cooking and serving dinner. The furnishings are very comfortable, and the house has a lovely view of the lake. Check-in and check-out were straightforward. Our party of four fit easily, and the house could definitely accommodate eight people.
House was spotless & very quiet- we enjoyed our stay!
The house was a perfect match for our family getaway over Labor Day. It was so charming and just enough space for all of us. Our family is building on lake Keowee. So we were able to crash at this lovely home, then hit the lake during the day. The porch was also lovely. Thanks for hosting us!!
The house is very clean with every kitchen implement you could need. A nice welcome basket for coffee was a pleasant surprise. The deck overlooking the lake is even bigger than the picture shows and was a great spot for breakfast and for catching the cool evening breeze. We really enjoyed our stay!
The home was clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed our stay.
The house is on a very lovely part of the lake. It is much more nicely furnished and decorated than most vrbo properties in which we have stayed. It is very clean. I wish the same attention had been paid to safety. There is a several-inch drop from the cement floor of the room with the giant sectional sofa to the floor of the laundry room. A warning tape or sign would have prevented us from falling into the dryer as we stepped into the laundry room. I don't know whether the sentence about there being no lake access from the property was actually in the vrbo description when I booked. It is now. I did not notice the sentence if it was there earlier because of the photo with the view of the lake. I did not know that the photo with the view of the lake from the porch shows the neighbor's property. You have to walk some distance to the lake access associated with this property. Directions for lake access associated with the property were posted on the refrigerator. I found out that there was no dock before we arrived but well after I could have cancelled. I was told that entrance to the lake is via a series of rocks, and that the rocks under water are slippery. We took a metal brush, which my daughter used to scrape off the biofilm from rocks that were under water and that were needed to enter and exit the lake. The rocks leading down to the water are uneven in size, height, and distance from one another. There is nothing to hold onto for support. My daughter, who is 35, was able to enter and exit the lake without any problems. My husband, who is 71, was able to do so with some effort. He would have preferred to avoid walking on the slippery lake bottom. I am 72, not limber, and without a good sense of balance. I can use a dock ladder with any problems. However, the only way I could enter the water at the property was by dropping to a sitting position on the grass and then crawling down the series of rocks. I simply could not get out of the water because of the high rise of the first rock and the slipperyness of the lake bottom. I had to exit the lake via the beach of the adjoining Camp Morrison. I was trespassing, although no one stopped me. We enjoyed our stay in spite of the problems, but we will not consider returning unless there is safe, easy access to the lake. For us, a dock is not required, but there must be safe steps and a railing.
We stayed here for our summer vacation. The house was great and plenty big enough for my husband and I and our 3 teens. The back porch was where we spent most of our time. It had plenty of seating with a beautiful view and a cool breeze. It was close enough to Lake Jocassee where we rented a pontoon for swimming and tubing and also had a place just up the road for the boys to fish all week in Lake Keowee. It was about 20 mins to Publix and restaurants, which was great for us. Try N the Midst Ice Cream if you are in town. It was a very cool experience. We will definitely stay in this house again for our summer trips.
This was the second time we stayed at this property and we enjoyed the entire week. The house was as advertised, nice and clean when we checked in. We made good use of the back deck on several evenings, enjoying the lake view and open air. There was one small maintenance problem that the owners took care of immediately. Great service!
We attended a wedding in the area and this was a great location to use as a home base for going to various events. It was very clean and comfortable and is actually more spacious than what I thought the photos indicated. The hours that we did spend there we enjoyed lounging on the back deck with a good view of the water. Wonderful kitchen!
We decided to make a vacation out of our trip to Clemson for our daughter’s graduation! The house couldn’t have been more perfect for our family. It’s about 25 minutes from campus, but the drive was easy. The house is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and has a great view of the water. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the back deck and sitting out there in the evenings enjoying the view. If we ever head back to Clemson for a homecoming game we will definitely try to stay there again! Thank you so much for making our stay so easy and comfortable!
This property not only is clean, modern and has a fantastic view of Lake Keowee, but the hosts are the best we have ever dealt with. They were so accommodating when we were unable to check out on time due to illness. Will definitely rent this house again.
