LAKE SONG ESTATES OVERLOOKING LAKE COEUR D ALENE

In the title of the listing, it states Entire Home. I had no reason to think I had to scour through every detail to discover otherwise. It's very deceptive! Hidden at the end of a long description and again at the end of a list of 131 amenities, it mentions that the owner lives on the property in a separate wing of the house which means the master suite. It is closed off with no deadbolt between their room and the rest of the house. A towel was stuffed under the door to try to muffle sounds, but this didn't work. We could hear their dog barking, their cell phone ringing, someone talking on the phone and their TV or device playing loudly, which could be heard very clearly from the kitchen and foyer area. I made a video for proof. They provided no key to lock up our belongings when we went into town, they claimed it was a secure, gated community. While my husband was at a conference and I was in the house alone, the owner opened the door without permission and yelled hello. We realized when this happened, that they also entered while we were at dinner the night before and turned on a lamp that was not left on and rearranged items on the kitchen Island. Vrbo's policy states that he must have permission or enter only in the case of an emergency or urgent maintenance. Neither was the case. The owner's intrusive behavior and lack of concern for our privacy and security, made it that we could not and would not stay in such an uncomfortable and unsafe situation.

This was our best stay ever! The hosts were on site and provided everything we needed, and a lot we didn’t. There were even fresh cookies made for us and muffins. The view is absolutely stunning. We wanted to stay longer!

everything about our accommodation was A plus. The view is incredible. The outdoor set up is fantastic. The house is fabulous and our hosts Cathy and Jay were beyond amazing. this was an unforgettable vacation.

Our stay allowed us an exquisite view of the lake and we were treated with a boat ride as well. Our hosts were kind and helpful.

This was the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Jay and Kathy are such wonderful gracious hosts. The house is incredible and the views make you feel like you are in Europe. It you are coming to the lake this is the place to stay.

ZERO STARS!!! My experience at this VRBO rental was truly terrible. I booked this home to celebrate my 40th birthday, with the owner’s explicit permission to host guests for the occasion. Unfortunately, the entire experience was ruined by the host's appalling and invasive behavior. First, the listing was misleading. It advertised three bedrooms, but there were only two. That was just the beginning. The owner *entered the property without permission* while my guests were inside, took photos of them while they were sleeping, and then began yelling at us to leave and kicked us out. It was a deeply disturbing violation of privacy and left us feeling unsafe. The host and his family actually *live* in the home, which was never made clear. The house was cluttered with their belongings, and the fridge and freezer were packed with their food. Instead of feeling like a vacation rental, it felt as though we were intruding on someone’s personal space. Throughout the stay, the host harassed me with stressful texts. Even after we left, he continued to badger me with messages. On top of this, he tried to extort extra money, demanding money per guest above what we had agreed on. I have written proof of our original agreement, but he blatantly lied and attempted to get more money after the fact. This host showed a complete disregard for privacy, safety, and decency. If you value any of these things, *do not stay here*. What should have been a beautiful birthday turned into a nightmare.

You could not ask for a better view! Everything was above and beyond our expectations! There was champagne and glasses waiting for us, along with a board of cheese, crackers, grapes, etc. Fresh flowers in so many cute places here and there. I could go on and on, but don't want to spoil your experience. The outside was amazing with so many places to sit and relax. Highly recommend!

What you see with the pictures is what you get... perfection!! Jay and Kathleen are the perfect hosts, the only time we bumped into them was in the driveway and upon our departure. Plenty of treats and snacks are provided and the view is worth it all. While away for the day on a biking adventure they snuck a 40th anniversary dessert into the fridge. A pleasant surprise. If our travels take us to this location again, a return visit is a must!!

What an incredible home. Jay and Kathy are simply the best hosts ever!! We enjoyed every moment. The property is situated in just the right spot with the most amazing views that are truly unforgettable. Every room in this fantastic home is so comfortable and classy. I can't say enough about our hosts, both are extraordinary, kind, helpful, and so thoughtful with every effort they made to make our stay special. Their generous efforts really made all the difference, and why we think this property and hosts should be anyone's number one pick if you're looking to stay in this tremendous home where your every need is so thoughtfully anticipated before you even arrive. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted with water and a tour of the property. Jay and Kathleen have worked hard to make sure your stay is the best it can possibly be. This was our first VRBO experience and frankly we’re concerned we have now been completely spoiled and anything after this will be a huge disappointment, J&K we’re the best and we have already planned coming back. We just wanted to stay, it was so hard to leave!
