Charming House on the water living on Lake Rosseau between Port Carling and Windemere 2 hour drive from Toronto. Great sunsets west facing and full day sun. Close to Port Carling, Windemere, includes outdoor shower and hot tub. Full kitchen and barbecue. The water is deep at 6 feet at the end of the dock and goes much deeper so great to park watercraft. Stayed Aug 6, 2025While the living quarters were definitely quaint and cozy - this property is definitely misrepresented. The owner also lives on site - which normally would not be a problem at all, except that he views the boathouse rental as a shared space - therefore, working on his own boats, toys, and equipment in the boathouse below while you are there. He also runs a business selling equipment out of his laneway, which makes parking very difficult and awkward. I do not mean to come across as negatively as where you actually stay is very sweet however, there is zero privacy, and after paying a fair amount of money for vacation it definitely felt like we were shoved in a quarter and being watched and unable to enjoy the property..
