Lake House in Sturbridge w/All the Views!

I’m guessing this would be nice in the warm months, when you can use the yard, lake and screened porch. The stairs out to hot tub were half covered in ice and the fire pit was under snow and ice. The stereo system and comfy couch were the highlights for us. The kitchen was average and the hot water wreaked of sulfur. The host could be far more thoughtful and generous for such an expensive rental.

We loved it. The location was a home run...we were there for a wedding, and would have liked to have skipped it and just stayed in this marvelous lake house. We swam, we canoed, we sat in the hot tub, and waved at all the darling neighbors sailing by. It was great.

We had a lovely stay! Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids age 11 and 14) spent our time relaxing by the water, swimming, enjoying the hot tub, lounging on the screened in porch, and playing beach volleyball. The house is very comfortable, clean and had all the amenities we needed. Also loved having gorgeous lake views from every room. We plan to book again!

This house has beautiful views of the peaceful lake. The children, ages 4 to 11, spent hours playing in the water. We enjoyed the screened-in porch, the large dining room (great place to make puzzles), the comfy living room and the eat-in kitchen, which all had great views of the lake. There are close by stores, restaurants and a fresh seafood market. We roasted marshmallows in the large fire pit at night and the hot tub was a huge hit. We all enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here with two other couples and had the most amazing time. The house is well furnished and stocked and was exactly as described. The location is pristine - quiet, private and super relaxing. The sound system around the house was incredible and the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day! Wish we could have stayed longer! Jeff was super accommodating and got back to us immediately when we had a question. Great host!

My sons and I really enjoyed our brief stay as the home was clean, well stocked with all the little things and there were plenty of options for enjoying the water and relaxing in the setting. The host was easily accessible and quick to address any questions I had throughout our stay. We were in Worcester for one son's (master degree's defense of his thesis) - and this location wasn't too far away from college campus - easy drive. Wish I'd have thought to do VRBO instead of hotels sooner!

The house is well-appointed. The location is beautiful, we only wish we had better weather to enjoy all that this property offered.Beds are comfortable, living area cozy and there is plenty of amenities to satisfy any guest.We'd love to come back to this beautiful property. It's quiet and has amazing views of the pond.

The property is beautiful and exactly as pictured. So much to do and such a lovely location on the lake. I wish we had been here in summer, it’s got to be spectacular. Hot tub was well cared for. Snow removal was good. Beds were comfy. Lots of dishes pots and pans. Does not include cooking supplies like oil or seasonings or cooking spray, just fyi. Awesome that we didn’t have to strip beds! Here are some notes that impacted our stay:Not thoroughly cleaned - dirty glass in one of the bedrooms, hair in the shower, the couple towels there were seemed dirty. There was a bottle of old cigarette butts on the back porch. Someone’s swim shorts were there as well. The control for the baseboard heaters was broken already so the heat stayed on max in one of the bedrooms. Missing some staple supplies- No dish soap was provided or laundry soap. No sponge. We were fine with buying laundry soap but it seems like dish soap should be included. No cleaning supplies so we had to buy wipes. No bath towels in the bathrooms. We found about three in closets, but they were stained and dirty. Couldn’t find any extra trash bags so we had to buy some.

This was a great visit and we so appreciate the host's consistent communication. The was accurately listed with a killer view of the lake and a hot tub for the ages. Communication is important when renting a house like this, and the host was a 10/10 in coordinating our new year's stay. Thank you so much!

The house worked perfectly for a weekend getaway for four old friends looking for a chance to relax and catch up. Great for hanging out, time by the fire pit, and meandering walks. We were disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working the weekend we were there but the owner was very responsive, getting two different technicians to come look at it and giving us a partial refund because it couldn’t be fixed in time. We’d love to come back in warmer weather and be able to take advantage of the water and the volleyball court!

The house was impeccably maintained with gorgeous views all around. It was beautiful in winter and I’m sure just as nice in summer! Will definitely re book in the future.

The house is very cute. It is a great home for a long weekend get a way. Lots to do in the water or yard. Privet and Beautiful views. We especially enjoyed the screen porch and the outdoor space. Bunk beds should be secure for older teens. I have 2 small girls but every time they moved at night, the entire bunk bed moved with them. pillows and mattresses should be replaced.

We had a great time in Sturbridge. Can't beat the location of this house - it's absolutely beautiful, and very close to Old Sturbridge Village and a cute coffee shop we frequented during the long weekend. Everything was nice and clean, the hot tub was great, and it was easy to check in. The beds are comfortable and it was nice to not have to worry about the linens upon checkout. The host replied super promptly when we had questions about the location of trash/recycling bins, and when there was an issue with the oven! The oven worked just fine, but initially wouldn't turn on because the breaker connected to it was switched off. It turns out, this was because the control panel on the attached microwave was malfunctioning, and made a very loud beeping sound periodically for the hour or so that we used it before we switched the breaker off again! The rental sleeps 8, but I would recommend an air mattress or two if you have more than 6 people, as the full-size bunks are hard to share. We had some trouble getting the TV working as there is only a cable box and no devices for streaming/casting from a phone or computer (you need an HDMI cord). I would also recommend to the host/future guests to have a few more towels available, to make sure trash bags are stocked, and to provide a bit more toilet paper. We ended up making a quick Walmart run for the missing bags and for some extra TP.

This place is a gem, the property jets out so you have the best views of the lake! We came with our 8 and 16 year old sons, who enjoyed beach volleyball, playing in the water, hopping in the hot tub and then enjoying s'mores around the fire pit. We enjoyed coffee on the screened porch, and eating outside on the deck. It was a relaxing time and if we’re ever back in the area, we would love to come back!

This location and home is beautiful. We were very happy with the house and its access to the lake and privacy. We did experience some bumps - the hot tub was empty and there was still food in the oven from a previous guest. The oven was also very dirty on the inside. We communicated this to the owner and he offered to get it cleaned, and he reimbursed us for the lack of hot tub.

Lots of great activities for the whole family…swimming, fishing, volleyball, fire pit etc. And the sound system in the house was a nice treat. Thanks!!

We came for an end of school year relaxation break(teachers will understand) the house was beautiful and close to good restaurants. We will definitely consider staying again
