Lake Home Private Retreat

Our 3rd or 4th time staying here. Love the how big it is as it’s where we have our annual golf/poker long weekends. Bunch of guys in their mid 50s . It is so quiet and peaceful. Yet minutes away from a great golf. Purse and close to others. It was clean, incredibly well stocked, and we look forward to our trip every year. Will be back next year, Side note, just wanted to say how sorry we all were that Jerry, the on site property manager, passed. He was a very nice guy and we missed him this last year. As well as his dogs. RIP Jerry

This was the best furnished ever! A perfect place with activities for 3 generations. The kitchen was great for many cooks, every room had special touches but we all appreciated how clean everything was. 7 middle-aged men, friends for 40+ years get together once a year and have an annual Poker/Golf outing. This is the second year in this location and we couldn't be happier. Secluded, peaceful and welcoming are the words I would use to describe this home. It's close to at least 2 very nice golf courses, the large dinning table is great for gathering for dinner and of course the very competitive nickel, dime, quarter poker games! Everything is so clean inside and out. The basement bar and rec room is nice, but we didn't get a chance to use it. It's golf in the mornings, dinner, then either sitting on the large patio below with a nice fire going or a poker game. The bedrooms are comfortable and far enough away from each other that the very loud snoring some of us do wasn't an issue at all. As far as myself and my group of old buddies are concerned, this is where every annual gathering will be until they won't let us come back. Great place, great people to deal with, and we will be back, again and again. Thank you for another year of great memories!

House was very clean. A/C kept you cool and comfortable. Internet worked well as did the direct tv. Nice and quiet. Fishing boat that came with your stay worked great. Lots of bass and northern were caught and released. Plenty of room to do your own thing or do as a group. Fire pits was fun.

Cleanliness: There were mouse droppings found in many places in the house. Two drawers contained acorns/shells, a toad in a bedroom. There were multiple dead mice, in traps, There was a mouse seen in the kitchen in which we set a trap for a caught ourselves as well. This infestation was known by the property manager and undisclosed to us before arrival. This was in stark contrast to the cleanliness standards expected from Vrbo listings. Amenities: The path to the dock was completely overgrown, in order to access we were given a weed wacker by the property mgr to clean up the area ourselves. We paid for use of the pontoon, which was in poor condition (1 functional seat, plastic chairs, sun shade with holes in it, moss overgrown on the whole thing, loose fishing lures, and an inoperable trolling motor). The pontoon was difficult to start and a couple days into the week left us stranded on the lake. We brought the indicident to the attention of the property mgr, were told it may be a dead battery, we charged the battery ourselves. And replaced it only to find out that the pontoon still did not start. The property mgr told us he could look into it on our last day, The fishing boat was full of water and unable to be used. I kindly request that you review this complaint and process a refund for the total amount paid. This experience was not expected from a Vrbo rental. We would like a refund for the pontoon as well as compensation for the work we had to do while on vacation.

This home is perfect for a family getaway! There is plenty of space for everyone to be together or do separate activities. The lake is beautiful! The house is located close enough to stores and other activities, but far enough away to be a quiet getaway. Definitely would recommend visiting!

We rented the location for a business retreat. Plenty of room for Our group to stretch out. We cooked a bunch of meals and found the kitchen to be very easy to work in. It’s a bit of a walk to the lake, but that wasn’t a big deal. We had a great time and will certainly be back.

This place is huge. Not in the mansion each room is big, but they are, but there is so much space our 6 guys didn’t even start to use the rooms available. You couldn't ask for a better place to get away from things. My friends and I are going to try and make this our yearly stop. Its perfect and has everything we need.and then some! Worst thing about the place is that I don't live there own it! Thank you for a wonderful place to spend times with my closest friends. WE shall return, again and again and again.

The house was gigantic with plenty of space for everyone and lots of neat decor. It was a bit tricky to find, depending on which way you come in. The kids loved the oroperty manager's two dogs, who came around regularly. Communication was prompt. An older home with a few peculiarities but noyhing we couldnt deal with. Awesome game room downstairs for nightly competitions. We enjoyed our family stay with kids and grandkids. Thank you!
