Lake Haven at Dollar Point by Tahoe Getaways - Spacious 4 BR w/ Sauna & Lake Views

beautiful cabin that is walking distance to the lake. The property manager had excellent communication and would respond to any email or text within an hour.

Very comfortable and convenient for a long weekend at the Lake. Perfect for our needs.

The location was great. Space was more than enough for our family of 5! 3 bathrooms which were nice and enough to sleep at least 10. A few things to improve...the area rugs were all weathered and dirty. The entry hall one had a huge stain on it. These should be updated. As well as updating the dishtowels and oven mitts. It was hard to tell if they were clean because they were so old and dirty looking. I was surprised this hadn't been done as it isn't a large expense. Lastly, there is no AC and at night you are encouraged to shut doors and windows bc of bears. It got hot. They have a lot of fans available and we did use them and they helped a bit, but also some of the fans were so dusty we couldn't use them.

We truly enjoyed stay in this property. Rooms were nice, great living room and kitchen area. Kitchen was excelently equipped. However - Bed quality was poor and bed linens were very, very outdated and uncomfortable. It would take a very little effort to upgrade them and the whole stay would be so much more pleasant. The fact that renters cannot access private beach is another negative of the house. It was impossible to find a space on a public beach, and that made the whole stay less pleasant. those things have affected this review, which is unfortunate because the house and the setting are just beautiful

Luckily we were able to snag this beauty at the last minute for just a 4 night stay (unfortunately I would have loved to have stayed much longer!) The home has nice furnishings- great bedding with nice linens, thick fluffy towels, and comfortable furniture. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils though we only ate in one night ( BBQ)The deck area is quite large with filtered views of the lake. I would definitely rebook Lake Haven again! Also, dealing with Tahoe Getaway was an easy experience. Just a note- the downstairs has a good sized sitting room, a bathroom with shower as well as a sauna and a separate room with a king sized bed. ( I believe the online description states bunk/ double bed- note that bed configuration is on the main level.)

We all enjoyed our time at this home. We spent more time in it than we had planned since we arrived when the worse snowfall in 50 years hit. The fireplace was wonderful. It kept the living room toasty. We made many of our meals here since driving could be dangerous at times. The kitchen was well equipped. We used saucers to enjoy the snow from the sloping driveway. I called several times for guidance and the property managers helped us promptly even with the amount of snow and power outages in the area. We were only out for a few hours. Both the street and our driveway were plowed at least daily.

We had a wonderful time and loved the amount of space as well as durability of the furniture (none was broken). It could have been a bit cleaner - the ottoman, sliding door handle and BBQ were extremely dirty - and cobwebs all around. As well, a few things were broken upon our arrival: lounge chair (hole), curtain rod in master upstairs was hanging broken from it’s brace and fell off wall completely, missing screen on the downstairs bedroom large window, large standing light in the living room did not work, so left the living room quite dim. If a lesson could be learned about detail, the place would be excellent.

Enjoyed our time at the property. It was clean & well furnished. We would definitely consider again for next trip.

We had a great time on our MLK weekend near Tahoe City. The Lake Forest house was exactly as described -- roomy, comfy, good design, and great location to the slopes, local spots. The house is a good neighborhood and has some peakaboo views of the lake. We are looking forward to coming back here during summer time and enjoy the house and Dollar Point areas.

The house was nice, great location. The house had limited supplies including toilet paper and paper towels, which we gladly supplied. Also, it wasn't as clean as expected; a few ashes from grill on back porch and some dirty clothes left in master bedroom. Also, if we stayed again in August, we would insure they had ceiling fans installed as the house was extremely warm (over 80 each night when we went to bed).
