Lake George~ Walk to Village and Beaches ~Beautiful Lake Views~Huge

Awesome place and location was great

Marcia was a great host and quickly took care of a few minor issues we found upon arrival.House is circa 1800s and as such is not like vacationing in a brand new condo.The updated kitchen was great and had everything you would want to make a big meal or a quick snack.The beds were comfortable and the window units worked fine in the 90 degree heat we had.We liked being in the woods yet real close to the beach,Fort William Henry and the numerous downtown restaurant's and attractions.Parking downtown is a challenge.The view from the enclosed porch is fantastic.We rented a pontoon boat at Captain Bobs and cruised the lake.We also parked at one of the islands and went swimming.Lake George has always been one of our favorite vacation spots and look forward to returning one day to Marcia's house.

This historic house was comfortable and clean for our entire family. The kitchen was large and well stocked. Check in and out was extremely easy and the owner was a delight to chat with. I didn’t feel like I was a bother to her with any questions. The location was convenient to drive into town but was a bit too far to walk with little kids. The walk to the very small beach near by was doable but very steep. A few things I wish the house had was another shower or an outdoor shower. Also darker curtains in the bedrooms to allow for naps and early bedtime would have been extremely helpful.

Beautiful location, tons of space. Great view of the fireworks from the back porch. Screened in porch perfect for relaxing while watching the lake and boats. Short walk to a small beach and park.

We stayed here for the 4th of July week. The front porch has a great view of the lake where you can watch the steamboats go by all day, and watch the sunset. It also has a perfect view of the fireworks over the lake. You can walk to Usher Beach (about 100 yards away) and Million Dollar beach (.5 miles). We walked to the village a few times as well. The house is close to neighbors on one side, but we barely saw them. The kitchen is large and has everything you could need. The inside of the house was very clean and comfortable. The outside of the house is a little dated, but we didn't mind at all. The firepit is on the side of the house, you will have to bring your own wood. The front of the house has a large grass area with a large rock the kids loved playing on. Check-in and checkout was easy and communication with the host was great. If we go back to the Lake George area, we would definitely stay here again.

We had a great week at this property in Lake George. Marcia was super kind and communicative, and the house had everything we needed for our stay. We were close to the village and beaches, and a short drive to Bolton Landing and some great hiking spots. Highly recommend!

Communication with owner was excellent, staying here was awesome for my whole family everyone enjoyed the home and plenty of room for everyone everything was right at your fingertips thank you so much for the great vacation place to stay.

Nice house near the lake. Was clean. Beds were comfortable. Had a nice large kitchen with everything you could possibly need to make a meal (Even spices). Loved the fire pit. Had a gas grill also for BBQ meals. Very close to town (a few min away). Spoke with the host on a coffee pot issue. She responded quickly and was very nice and helpful. Air conditioning in every bedroom as well as living room. Which helped keep us cool on the warmer nights. Large screened in porch. Great for morning coffee or for those rainy days. Only reason I gave 4 stars was there is no direct private access to the lake. Which my family and I wanted.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. Very easy check in, the home has wonderful space for all to be comfortable. The host was easy to contact with any questions. We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your home with the Cade family!

My family stayed here for a week. We were a party of 6, including two seniors and a toddler. The house was huge, easily could accommodate a larger group. The kitchen was stocked with all appliances and utensils needed for any meal. We used the local beach multiple times which was a 5 min walk away and was perfect for a toddler age kid to swim. We were also walking distance to town and walked in multiples times for dinner, exploring, arcade, and a boat tour (my father is in mid 70s and I am 8 months pregnant and both were able to make the walk multiples times). Marcia was very responsive to any questions I had. We would absolutely rent from her again. Thanks for a great week!

The house was a wonderful location! It was walking distance to the beaches. It has beautiful view of the lake from the front porch , where we enjoyed coffee every morning! The house was very clean and had everything you need from beach towels to treats! The kitchen had all the essentials! And we enjoyed the fire pit and grill! I would highly recommend bring your family or large group! The host was excellent!
