Lake Front Getaway, Family Friendly.

The cottage was perfect for our stay. I could have lived on the screen porch. It was very inviting and clean as soon as we entered. The lake view and access was amazing.

We truly enjoyed our stay. We very much appreciated the comfort of the house, including the cleanliness, the space, the kitchen, the attention to detail, the comfortable mattresses and bedding,and of course the beautiful view of the Lake.

Wonderful in every possible way. My kids and I had the best time paddling, kayaking, and swimming in the lake.

Exceeded our expectations. The Bally K was lovely. It was clean and wonderfully comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. We had two young boys with us. The kayaks were a big hit. We cooked hot dogs and had s’mores at the firepit. There were several yard games to enjoy as well. We went out several times to eat and we found more than enough choices nearby for all of us to enjoy. The Lazy 5 Ranch was awesome, again, for all of us, young and older.Checking in was easy. We had fruit, cookies and fresh cut flowers waiting on the table. We had everything we needed without asking for a thing. Loved it all!

Great clean house with lots of little extras that made it feel like home

The home was well laid out. We felt small with only 2 of us and 3 bedrooms. Kitchen had everything we needed. Shower had good pressure and multiple heads. View was amazing. Trips were easy to navigate.

Another amazing stay at Bally K:) We love the cozy cottage and the nature around it. Lovely scenery just looking out of the patio with lake view. The cottage is always clean upon arrival and decorated accordingly which gives out a homey vibe. Thank you for accommodating us again and hope to visit soon!

Cozy cottage, with all the extras that made our Holiday season special. They decorated the cottage for the Christmas Season, left a beautiful floral arrangement fr our centerpiece on Thanksgiving Day, and left firewood by the fireplace to enjoy a cozy outdoor fire. Perfection!

Absolutely 10/10! Very nice place, from the hospitality and charming touches to peaceful location. We especially loved the screened in porch, fire pit, and gazebo on the dock. The hosts went above and beyond, providing their phone numbers in case we needed anything, fresh fruit and flowers, beach towels, life jackets, firewood for the fire pit, kayaks, and more. This place is so relaxing, we can't wait to return. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

The cottage was perfect! Very clean and comfortable. It was so cozy that we felt like we were home! The lake property is amazing even though a cold front hit right when we got there. We had a fire in the fire pit that is located right by the water! We will definitely stay here again!

It was incredible. I wish I could’ve been there longer. I would love to come back with my kids next time. The peacefulness of the location, the amenities including the hang out spot at the dock, the communication with the owner, everything was superb. Highly recommend!

We’ve been coming to Bally K cottage twice a year for past few years. It’s an easy, relaxing and quiet location. The owners are great to work with. Restaurants and grocery stores 10 mins away. Easy to check-in and out. Great access to the lake and dock fishing. Comfortable , home atmosphere. The grand kids come for a day and stay in the water the whole time. Paddle boards, kayaks and life vests are available. We will be back.

Great place! We enjoyed the home with all the amenities. The walk down to the lake was easy with no steps or hills, there were plenty or kayaks and paddle boards for us all to enjoy. We will be back!

What a wonderful cozy place to stay! The lot has an amazing view of the water and the new dock was a wonderful place to stay, play, and dock the boat. We stayed for a week and made so many beautiful memories. Everything is even better in person! Shops, and restaurants are within 10-minute range. We walked in the morning and enjoyed the area. Kids loved to see deers walking in the forest. We would definitely stay again! Absolutely a gem!

First time visiting Lake Norman with my family and found this gem of a property with everything you need for complete lakes side relaxation. Tim, the owner was a great host, and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. We will be back when visiting Lake Norman in the future.

We loved our stay at this property. We had everything we needed and loved lounging on the dock and swimming in the lake. This vacation was the most relaxed I've ever seen my husband. We would definitely stay here again!

I do not usually do reviews- This is much needed to let everyone know what a wonderful place. The owner was very thoughtful in furnishing the house- everything we needed and more was supplied (beachtowels/ throws/coffee pods/life jackets and so much more) The view of the lake and outside sitting areas were wonderful. It is hard to put in words how much we enjoyed our stay so I will just say -Thank you for allowing us to share your lake home. The sisters

We have been staying at BallyK for past several years and will be back. Great location; quiet, good lake view and access, convenient grocery store and restaurants. Easy checking in and out process and the family that owns BallyK are helpful and super nice.

We booked last minute to do some house hunting and found this gem! Bally K is in an idyllic setting nestled in a quiet cove on Lake Norman. Even bad weather couldn’t ruin our visit. The convenience of tying up our boat was a huge bonus.Tim was kind enough to assist us with the boat launching. The cottage exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival there was a generous fruit bowl and lovely flowers to welcome us. The whole place was sparkling clean and fresh.The bed was extra cozy and the shower was luxurious. Every night we grilled and made a fire in the family room. We would have preferred a sunnier week but Bally K was a delightful shelter from the storms. Looking forward to booking again soon!

Comfy beds, screened-in porch with plenty of seating, the dock furniture was great for evening fishing or hanging out, and the sunning deck with umbrella is perfect for lounging. Loved the new couch and chair as well, and that the kitchen is always well stocked! Quality finishes make this one feel comfortable and like home!

The house is wonderful and the views were instantly relaxing! I stayed for a few days while in town visiting my parents who also stayed. It was the perfect location, tucked back into a quiet residential neighborhood but close to restaurants and stores. The dock and spacious back porch were beautiful! We took the kayaks out for a spin on the lake and my parents really enjoyed their time. The hosts were responsive and the house was immaculate. I plan to return again!

Wonderful weekend getaway. Convenient location for food, and amazing home. Very clean and had tons of entertainment options for the kids. We selected this rental based on the ease of access from the home to the water (no steps) and it exceeded all expectations. Would love to revisit this home again!

First impressions are important. The cleanliness of the house was impeccable. Kudos to the cleaning crew. The Owners thought of everything! Plenty of towels, bath and beach. Stainless cookware and everything that was needed in the kitchen. Comfortable beds and pillows. Lots of ways to relax....we especially enjoyed the screened porch and gazebo on the pier. Our son and his family came to visit most days and they enjoyed the shallow entry to the water and the numerous paddleboards and kayaks. We had trouble dragging them out of the water to eat...Overall, one of the best vacation homes we have ever had the pleasure to rent. Top notch all around. Just the best Thank you

In addition to Tim & Katherine being accommodating hosts, the peaceful cottage was very clean and well-appointed with a full kitchen & linens. The view from the screen porch is serene & the fishing from dock proved to be successful!

The Bally K Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. It was not only comfortable and well-appointed but also beautifully maintained. Nestled along the serene lake, the location was ideal for swimming, kayaking, and simply unwinding amidst nature's splendor.

We have been vacationing to NC beaches for over 20 years and now LOVE the lake! This house was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers).
