A Private Paradise close to town, in a prestigious lake community. This is the place to experience a true Durango vacation! With incredible 360 degree mountain views and immaculate landscaping, the newly renovated Double J offers a full kitchen, a dining and living area with beautiful light coming through the impressive 2 story windows. The living room features a wood burning stove for those chilly nights, and a small library with books related to the area.

Off the living/dining room is a spacious deck, the perfect place to enjoy a meal, or just absorb the beauty of the glorious aspens and pines, any time of day. On the main floor, there is a second bedroom with two twin beds and a large closet. Adjacent to this bedroom is a spacious bathroom with shower. The cabin's upper level has a large master suite with king bed, and an adjoining sitting area. The master has a new full bath with a large jacuzzi tub, double sinks, and a walk-in closet. The cabin's décor is done in comfortable Durango style furnishings, with artwork that boasts the wonderful wildlife and scenery that this area is known for. The high ceilings bring in lots of natural light.

Pet Policy
No dogs are allowed unless prearranged with the management company. There is an additional pet fee of $100 per dog per reservation. Maximum 2 dogs. Renters are responsible for their pet(s) at all times and must ensure all solid wastes have been picked up and disposed of before departure. There will be a $500 fine if there is an unauthorized pet on the property.

NO Smoking anywhere on the premises.

Guests will be sent a vacation rental agreement by Durango Colorado Vacations (the property manager) to e-sign at the time of booking.

Please note that the primary guest must be at least 25 years old to book this property.

Note: This home does not have Air Conditioning. Most homes do come equipped with box and ceiling fans.

A friendly reminder before you book your stay, is to remember we are trusted to manage independent and family-owned homes. We simply ask that you treat these homes and properties with the same respect that you would expect one to treat yours. Due to a recent uptick in unauthorized guest, pets and gatherings. We are implementing a strict one strike policy for any guest that are found having any unauthorized gatherings, pets or guest with them in the home. Failure to disclose any of the stated above will result in immediate termination of stay with no refund being issued for unused nights.

Please note that most properties are outfitted with outdoor security cameras.

Cancellation Policy:
If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that are made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival will receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee. Between (29) days and fifteen (15) days before arrival, guest will be refunded 50% of the reservation amount. (14) days or less to arrival, no refunds given.
For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date to receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee Cancellations made between thirty one (31) days in advance of your arrival and (59) days will receive a 50% refund.

Trip insurance is available for purchase and is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

    Outdoor area was private which we enjoyed. The water pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water for us. There was really no comfortable place to sit inside of the cabin. The sofa cushions are worn and split open (see photo). The king mattress was not comfortable. The entire house needs a good deep cleaning as there is a ton of dust everywhere except table tops. The photos are of the exhaust fan above range, ceiling fan above king bed and lamp legs in living room next to sofa. It also needs to be noted the outdoor garbage is about 1/2 mile one way from cabin.

    This is was perfect location for our trip to Durango. Very comfortable cabin and the back deck has the most peaceful and serene setting looking into the woods and the neighbors pond. So delightful!

    Just what our family of four needed. Beautiful view through living room windows. Less than 10 min. To purgatory. Quiet back road. We'll equipped kitchen. We cooked two dinners and three breakfasts there. Easy check in and out.

    The highs.The location was great, just off the highway with entrance and exit lanes making it easy to access even at night. Under 10 minutes to Purgatory.The heating was great with separate thermostats for nearly every room.Nice little desk to get work done upstairs.The lows.The glass screen door does not close on its own and requires a good amount of force. The sliding glass door to the patio is also difficult to fully close.There is no garbage disposal and the kitchen trashcan does not have a lid. There is no larger bin on property, but requires a surprisingly long drive into the neighborhood to the dumpster.It also would have been nice to have access to the garage so we didn't have to scrape ice off the car in the morning.None of these are dealbreakers and overall our stay was great.and would likely stay again.

    The cabin was just as advertised very clean nicely kept everything worked well We cooked a roast in the crockpot, which was terrific It was a very nice property and was everything that one could want.

    Beware these places that claim to be pet friendly until you book the reservation. After you pay you get the real pet attitude on what and where your pets can go. Not really pet friendly at all. Yard and deck in back are nice, but no fence between yard and busy corner you are on. Had I known the real attitude towards my pets I world have booked elsewhere. Btw very spendy for non secluded space. En suite master bath remodel was good though…

    We used this property as a base camp for our Jeep excursions to Silverton, Ouray, Telluride etc. It was clean and well stocked with a beautiful backyard. Recommend it for small group with a pet.

    Lovely location in very scenic spot. Lots of windows with views of trees, landscape, and natural surroundings. Delightful cabin was comfortable, easy parking, full sized washer/dryer, and well supplied.

    Great home with an incredible backyard area. Great space for our dogs. Checking in was difficult because the code was sent after I started driving and lost internet, so I had to drive to nearly to Durango to get the code. Owners live next door which caught us off guard and would have been nice to know before I drove back to internet access.

    The location of the cabin is amazing! There is a little pond with fishes about 15 feet from the property. The cabin was roomy for our family of 4 and provided everything we needed. Response time from the property manager was quick, we definitely recommend this propery!
