⭐️Lake Almanor; clean & comfortable wheelchair accessible home in the mountains⭐️

Enjoyed are stay

The online photos did not do it justice! The tastefully selected furniture/colors inside and outside in the living areas creates a very stress free, restful environment. The kitchen features upgraded major appliances, plus the latest in smaller appliances. The”coffee bar” was especially enjoyed. The check-in process was effortless, and communication with the owner regarding minor questions was always prompt.

We enjoyed having enough space for family meals and games. The house is close to golf, beach, tennis and pickleball. Beds and linens very comfortable and clean. Kitchen is well equipped.

We stay in alot of VRBOs, and this one exceeded all of our usual expectations! The home was extremely clean, adorably decorated, wonderfully supplied (coffee station (!), shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, etc.), and extremely comfortable. It was a great fit for a variety of age ranges, and lots of space to spread out and not feel cramped. There are great outdoor living spaces as well. The owner was immensely responsive, especially with impending wild fires and keeping us apprised of evacuation notices, which was greatly appreciated since we don't know the area. Couldn't have been more pleased and look forward to returning!

This place was great. Spacious living room and dining room for us the hangout and relax. Kitchen was good size as well with generous counter space. Appliances, kitchen supplies, cookware was better than most places that I have stayed at. Bedrooms were decent and bathrooms were huge. Tankless hot water made for unlimited hot water. Air conditioning was great as it was hot the weekend we were up there. Parking is good with plenty of driveway and street parking. Thanks for the great place and will be staying there again.

We loved our stay at the Almanor Ridge Retreat home located in west Lake Almanor. The house is truly accessible, which was a necessity for my husband who uses a wheelchair for mobility. The entire home was accessible for him which made the trip even more pleasant. The house is spacious, updated and the host provides linens, soap, hair products and other items. The furnishings were very nice and there were many board games to use. It was just like staying at home, but near a beautiful lake. The neighborhood was quiet and listening to a nesting bird and other birds in the area was great. It was in the 80s when we stayed but the house stayed cool under the trees and there is air conditioning in case you need it. The wind rustling through the trees was also very relaxing. We rode bikes and kayaked on Lake Almanor. The lake is the highest I have seen in years. Fishing was great and my brother who was staying south of us on the lake caught a lot of native brown trout. You can pick up groceries in Chester which is about six miles away. We always shop at the Holiday Market in Chester which has everything you need. They also sell gas in the back parking lot. Highly recommend this home if you want to get away and enjoy Lake Almanor at its prettiest!
