Stayed Jul 31, 2025This home has everything! We chose this VRBO for its location—I wanted to be surrounded by tall redwoods, and it was absolutely delivered. The home was the perfect size for us, cozy and comfortable. The backyard overlooks the golf course, and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet at night.We cooked breakfast and dinner just like we were at home, thanks to the well-equipped kitchen. The front deck was a favorite spot—inviting and relaxing, with a beautiful view of the lake.Judy, the hostess, was incredibly accommodating. She responded promptly to all my questions and made herself available whenever we needed anything.Truly a wonderful stay!

Stayed Jul 6, 2025Our family has been coming to Lake Almanor staying at various vacation rentals for over 10 years usually staying on the East Shore. This year we picked a winner with staying at this Darling home! The house was clean and nicely decorated. The neighborhood was quiet and offering many activities such as Golf, playground/picnic area, and the boat launch. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Jul 3, 2025Great location within walking distance to rec and short drive to boat ramp. Comfortable bedding and furnishings for our family of 5. Owners were very responsive and helpful. Easy check in and easy check out without a lengthy list of to-do’s at the end of stay. Would recommend and would stay again

Stayed Jun 21, 2025My family has been coming to the lake for 46 years and staying in Almanor West. This location was ideal: walking distance to everything we needed / wanted (rec center, boat launch, other family, golf course). It was clean, quiet, and well-appointed and -provisioned. The deck and patio provided plenty of space to read, relax, and enjoy time with family--and we had about 20 people, sometimes. The host communicated well and was most helpful.
