There are three nice sized bedrooms, one with two bunk beds for an amazing sleep over. Pets are welcome. The deck wraps around the side with plenty of room to dine and relax in the beautiful trees. Approximately 1/2 a mile to downtown Twain Harte with restaurants, golf course and the beautiful Twain Harte Lake. Comes with lake membership so you can spend your days resting by the lake. Stayed Aug 22, 2025House is great for a weekend. Our big issue was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The tub was filthy, dirt ring around tub, hair on the bottom and the bathmat was disgusting and should be thrown out and replaced. We showered at my sister’s house.If you have lots of gear, ice chests, etc. the steps are many and steep. It would be a challenge for older people, also stairway has no light so you need a strong flashlight at night.

Stayed Jan 17, 2025We had a lovely stay in Catherine's Twain Harte cabin! The cabin is cozy and has all the necessities for a great stay. It's rustic, funky (it has its quirks, but that's fine) and fun, and above all we really enjoyed the opportunity to feel disconnected from city life. It's a small town feeling that you don't get in Tahoe...not a knock on Tahoe, which we also love...just fun to have a more tranquil, off the beaten path vibe sometimes. We enjoyed skiing at Dodge Ridge and walking around town. The wood burning stove was a highlight of the cabin - nothing like the charm of wood fire on a cold winter's night! The home has a great location. Catherine was responsive and accommodating and we'd definitely stay again!

Stayed Jul 11, 2024Catherine was a great host. She was very accommodating. The air conditioners in each room were fantastic since it was 100+ degrees during our stay. Having all the linens and each chairs there was very convenient. The fenced in yard and deck was great for our dog. We hope to get up there again during the winter months to take the grandkids snowboarding. Thanks, Catherine

Stayed Aug 26, 2023We went to the cabin with our neighbors our our kids, ages 4, 6, & 10. It was a great trip! The host was a great communicator, and was able to help us with anything we needed. Cabin was clean, and had all the kitchen tools needed. Our favorite part was all the outside seating!

Stayed Jul 14, 2023Great little cabin at at affordable price. The week was extremely hot, but the portable AC units kept it relatively cool if you sat in front of them. The lake provided a cool respite and brought back many memories for my mother, who lived in TH for 30 years.

Stayed Jun 18, 2023The check-in process was easy. The residence was pet friendly and clean. Kids had plenty of games to play. Owner maintained open communication and provided friendly service.
