Laguna Matata | Patio, Balcony, Private Pool & Hot Tub

Our stay at Lagunq Matata was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by stunning ocean views that never got old—whether it was morning coffee on the patio or watching the sunset in the evening, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking.One of our favorite features was the warm pool and hot tub. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring, and it made the whole experience feel even more luxurious and peaceful. Inside, the home was incredibly spacious yet still felt cozy and inviting. The bedrooms were comfortable and thoughtfully designed, making it easy for everyone to unwind and feel at home. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out, but also great shared spaces where we could come together.What made this stay truly special was the time we were able to spend together. This home created the perfect environment for us to slow down, relax, and make meaningful memories as a family—ones we’ll cherish for a long time.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and memorable getaway.

We had a great overall stay at this property. The house itself was amazing—clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable trip, and we were really impressed with the space and setup.Unfortunately, our experience with the property management fell short. The hot tub stopped working on the first night of our stay. When we contacted management, they told us they would open a work order and send someone out, and advised us to continue with our plans while they used a temporary access code to make repairs while we were out.However, when we returned the following day after being at the beach all day, it was clear the hot tub had not been serviced. After reaching out again, we were then informed it would be 7–10 business days before anyone could come out to fix it.We completely understand that issues can arise that are outside of anyone’s control. With that in mind, we simply asked if they could turn on the pool heater at no additional charge since the pool was too cold to use this time of year and the hot tub—an amenity we were really looking forward to—was unavailable. Unfortunately, that request was denied unless we paid the full surcharge of 100 per night. The response felt dismissive and lacked any real effort to make the situation right.Because of the poor handling of this issue by property management, we are rating the property 4 stars instead of 5.

The pool heater did not work, I would not have paid the extra amount for a house with a pool if we weren't going to be able to use it. I was only reimbursed the amount for the pool heating, but I could've found a cheaper, comparable house without a pool.

The rental was beautiful and very clean, but there was a slight delay getting in. The door didn't unlock until 4:10 vs 4:00pm. Also the door handle to the back door broke, but it was quickly addressed my maintenence. The beds well very comfortable, the hot tub and pool were very nice, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. Overall it was a beautiful stay

We rent a family beach house every year somewhere on the gulf. We all agreed this was the best one ever.

6 days in paradise

The house and pool was nice as described. The service we received was not. We had issues getting the door code to work upon arrival. We had a shower that wouldn’t drain, a bedroom door that fell off the hinges and the pool hadn’t been cleaned. I think I contacted management 5 different times during our stay which is more than I have in my entire life. The house is as described but calling or texting about multiple things with no response should be unacceptable when paying that price per night. We actually already had someone contact us about the issues we had and she was very apologetic even offering us a discount but I still felt the need to post this. Not charging me for a night would not make me stay here if I had things to do over again.
