Lagoon Style Pool ~ Near Beach ~ Gated Community

First of all, the home was so clean and tidy that we kept wondering if we were the first people to stay for the season. The gas grill looked brand new. Maintenance was superb. Curb appeal and neighborhood upkeep was excellent. The pool area was fantastic. Our only gripe (minor) is we wished there were a few more items like coffee filters and extra garbage bags. We’ve stayed at several VRBOs and this property had the best communication we’ve experienced yet. Solid vacation rental - would recommend.

I really like this property. This was our 2nd year in a row staying here. It’s got plenty of room and is close to everything. It has everything you need.

First of all the dishes and silverware were dirty . The house smelled awful. Washer and dryer does not work good at all . The security guards and property managers are not on the same page as far as having 3 vehicles 1 says u can the other says no the senior security guard is a joke and is lost . U have ppl park 4-5 cars around their property with nothing being said . Is filters (water filters) need to be changed . This community is a waste of money ALL IN ALL THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.

Family had a great stay. The house was beautiful in and out. Pool was right at the corner of the home and 4 blocks from the beach

Wonderful place which suited our family needs perfectly. Great location, 2 houses away from the pool (pool was NOT heated). And about 4 easy blocks to the beach. House had wagon, 2 umbrellas and chairs we could take to the beach.

It’s near the shops and downtown Destin and even with the traffic it didn’t take us long. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Reviewer Comments: Our vacation rental had issues with cleanliness and maintenance. On our first night, I contacted the management team to let them know of the issues and took pictures. The management team did send out housekeeping to vacuum. The sand are the bunkbeds. However, they did not address the other maintenance issues, or the other cleaning this issues with the home. there are certain expectations when you are spending a good deal of money and those expectations definitely were not met with this home. After speaking with a representative and texting back-and-forth with the management team, no one offered compensation for our inconvenience. Nor did they address any of the other issues with the home. I would not rent from vacation Haven again. floors needed to be clean, cobwebs need to be dusted, general repairs needed to be made, and the overall condition of the outside of the home needed to be addressed. I feel that the management team wanted to know what was going on, but they did not care to fix the problems while we are staying there. Nor do I feel that they are concerned about my overall experience.

The house was very nice looking at first glance but the cleanliness was lacking. I called and spoke with management and they took notes. The community pool was nice when there wasnt a bunch of unsupervised kids. The beach was a 15 min walk. I would have liked to be closer. The closest beach accesses were mostly private beaches so the public beach was quite a ways down. Overall, for the first time to Destin, it was ok. Located in a very commercialized area.
