We had a great time staying over the Christmas break, as the house is well located near the village centre and seaside walks. The house is quirky and very comfortable, with a lovely open fire for the winter.

Smashing spacious house, full of character which was warm and cosy on chilly February days. It is very convenient for all age groups to reach the attractions of Saint Valery on foot. Even the vet is situated next door so completing the pet passport for our terrier couldn't have been easier. The listing for this property was very accurate and the contact with Alistair prior to departure was excellent. We would certainly recommend both the property and St Valery.

The house is delightful, very well equipped and perfectly situated. It is clean and comfortable and very close to a couple of excellent restaurants. There were rather a large number of instructional notices, which were a bit off-putting and I suspect that the steep staircases wouldn't suit families with small children or the less-able visitor, but our group of fit, not-so-young adults had a splendid time and really loved the accommodation.

Magnificently spacious accommodation. Excellently placed for walking around the town and walking back from the restaurants. Not TOO far from the free car park. Very accommodating Owner when advised of accidental damage. The only down side was we found it was very dusty - especially in the bedrooms, which may be due to us being very early in the season, plus the top floor was a bit of a climb up and down for the younger and older members of the party who needed to go to the toilet in the middle of the night :)

Just a few words to say what a great time we had. The house was spacious and clean thanks to Jaqueline cleaning lady, who explained that she had been ill during August, not too interesting; but a few phrase books and glasses of wine later, we got the gist of things, which probably explains the previous review with replacement cleaning staff not up to scratch! We had friends who had recommended the property as it is close to the sea and shops/restaurants, and the house itself is truly a little gem, a little quirky in that French style that we love. Because it is so spacious; it was peace for us girls. The children took over the top floor as their den, while the men enjoyed the table football in the cellar area, and for us a well equipped kitchen with bottle opener, Moules Mariniers and singing Edif Piaf songs!!!! we'll be back probably in June 2015, as the owner is undertaking a revamp, which we hope still keeps that old fashioned charm. Place is a tip. Horribly dirty, smells old, full of bits and pieces, dishwasher is disgusting, fridge more or less the same, bathrooms are moldy, showers leaks, stinks. The photos on this website definitely do not reflect the state of the house. Straight on the road, and no double glazing, so you can't sleep because of the state of the beds and the noise of the street, cars... No garden. And below street level. A disgust to even have such property on the market! For those in France.

Stayed at this house in August with friends and had a great week, house was in a good location and just a short walk into town. St valery is a nice town to visit with lots of restaurants, shops and the Sunday market was a must see. Would definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend this property.
