La Somone: FEET IN THE WATER, SUPERB CLIMATIZED VILLA

Beautiful location, great view of the beach!! We will definitely stay here again.

The pool is lovely and clean, proximity to the ocean is very nice. But the construction of another building on the property obstructs what used to be a gorgeous view. Repeated issues with a new power system arrangement, with the breaker tripping multiple times. Freezer section of fridge is good, but the fridge itself not really cold at all, even when set on Max cold setting. Some food that was in fridge spoiled after 1 day.

My second time here, I can’t think of a better location. The outdoor spots are absolutely amazing. I’ll be back!

Our 3rd time staying here, always a wonderful experience. Renovated kitchen is very nice and upstairs seating area on the mezzanine is a plus. Pool can be heated, useful this time of year when the water is a little chilly. Walking distance to the nature walk at edge of mangrove lagoon, great for birdwatching. Nearby boat tour of the lagoon also fun.

This house is in a great location and we had a really good time. It's obvious that once upon a time this was a very nice house. While the outside of the property is very well maintained, the inside seems to be neglected. When we arrived there was trash items throughout the house (soda bottles, partially eaten ice cream etc). There were 2 broken ACs and broken out cabinet and door panels, drains that didn't work and a few other things that should be taken care of before renting to guests. To be fair, Abdou was very quick to address anything we asked him to take care of and overall we had a good experience. I would only suggest that the inside of the house get the same attention as the exterior. A little updating, repairs and small investments in linen, towels and other comfort items would go a long way to making this an even better destination. My family and I would definitely return to this property so please don't be scared away by anything I'm writing, the property is still a great place to stay.

You wake up to the waves lapping on the beach, have a beautiful pool and an even better view. It is the best place we have stayed at yet in the Saly and Simone area. One aircon needed to be fixed and it was taken care of promptly....very appreciated.

This is a marvelous house in the best location of La Somone, literally on the beach, and with wonderful views. I went with my teenagers, and we have repeated several times... and I definitely recommend it to everybody!! However, the house needs a little effort to be refurbished inside, in terms of mattresses, sheets, towels, dishes, glasses, etc. It is all a bit old and not in very good shape. It would also be great if a welcome minimum kit is available in the house at arrival (it was not), such as toilette paper, soap, salt and pepper, and feel welcomed without starting from scratch. Thanks for the welcoming! Thierry, from far away, and Abdou, directly taking care of the house, are both fantastic!!
