La Maison du Bastion Beaune Center - Charm and tranquility

Autielle was a terrific communicator and welcomed us to the property. This is a beautiful property with fruit and herbs growing in the gardens.

We had a wonderful time in Beaune, the house is located right in the centre with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The garden was beautiful and set up for al fresco dining and everything you need for cooking at home. We also had a wine tour by bike which was easily accessible on foot and was a fantastic day out seeing the sights and of course tasting the best wines that burgundy has to offer.

The Maison du Bastion is idea for family and/or friend groups. We stayed with 6 adults and one child and never got in each other's way. The kitchen is very adequate, the appliances all worked well and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Aurelie made everything easy and was very helpful when one electric fuse blew and we couldn't figure out how to fix it. She had it done within an hour. The house is an easy walk to everywhere in Beaune center, which is to say to anywhere you want to be! We'll be back!

We were a party of 8 and this was the perfect house for us. Very comfortable with the right amount of privacy. The location was so close to everything. The host was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is exceptional for a group who wants to be central to everything in Beaune and Côte d’Or. we had 2 separate groups of 10 and 11, and the property was perfect for our needs. It is a very short stroll to the center of town and to supermarkets, plus has two kitchens, ample congregate space and private bathrooms for everyone! We had an awesome time!

This was our third time staying in Beaune, the first 2 times were in hotels. We have a toddler now and traveling with grandparents so we figured a house would be better for space. The house is wonderful! Great layout and plenty of space for everyone. The bathrooms/ showers are in each room and are functional and updated. It’s very hard to find but the property. The manager was very helpful when we could not find the road down to the house as it’s quite hidden. The bbq did not work well for us. The coals provided were too small to get the heat warm enough for our big filets. The rest of the kitchen was a great setup and has everything we needed for basic meals. I will also say the upstairs bedrooms get VERY hot in the summer months (mid May but around 88 F/ 32C and do not cool down much at night. The rooms have portable fans but they did not do much when the sun blazed in the afternoons. The downstairs room kept quite cool. Overall we would definitely come back to stay here on our next visit to Beaune!

Easy to find on the ring-road around Beaune, lots of parking space, and enough individual en suite rooms or apartments that everyone (as many as six couples) feels privacy yet can reunite in a common kitchen-dining-living room area! All top- notch linens, great showers, with proper pressure. Only ten minutes walk to the best bakery, market and restaurants in town - often much less.

This property is as and frankly more charming than described. The bathrooms are all up to date and the kitchens are well appointed. It is a it hard to find but well worth the look. Situated in a very convenient location to accessing the old town of Beaune (18 min walk to the train station). Only flaws I found was the beds are bit on the firm side and we could have used a bit more TP for our stay. Other than that, would totally recommend this property if you would like to experience the beauty, history and wine of the Burgundy region. Would stay again.

A group of 7 friends, our list of priorities were met beyond our expectations by Maison Bastion. Each bedroom had an en-suite bathroom all well appointed & comfortable. The site photos of the house & garden are accurate - the large ranging grassy area at the front & side of the house was scattered with fruit trees & herbs. It was delightful to sit outside in the warm weather. The kitchen was well appointed & for larger groups like ours, will benefit from the planned extension. The lovely town of Beaune is easily accessed on foot & provides ample dining & shopping options. And the nearby train & bike paths enable access to other towns & the vineyards. The owners were very friendly & helpful. We all loved our stay.
