Stayed Nov 15, 2021Nice place. Good parkingspace behind fence. Fully equiped appartment with wood stove, which was really cosy in the chilly fall-evnings. Very helpfull and hospitable hosts. We used the possibility of buying homemade bread which was delicius. Tranquillity and wonderful view. Drinkingwater right from the tap! Our best recomendations Birgitte and Hugo

Stayed May 21, 2018We really loved our stay on Casa la Madrugada. The house is lovely and very spacious. We were staying with our 3 year old boy and he absolutely loved the pool and all the toys that are available in the house to play with. We highly recommend the place if you are travelling with kids as the place is very well-equipped with variety of toys like cars and Lego blocks as well as board games and jigsaws. The house is only 5 minutes’ drive up from the village and the views from the house are spectacular. The owners of the house – Lorena and Pedro are very friendly and helpful. They recommended some lovely places to visit which we really enjoyed exploring. Thank you for delicious nispero fruit which are delicious and definitely our new favourite fruit. We are already thinking of going back to the house. Muchas gracias por todos! Kasia, Gareth & Jacob

Stayed Oct 16, 2017Very nice and komfortable place in a beautiful spot on top of Sayalonga. if you hire a car and dare ride in the mountains, do stop here. Lorena and Pedro are a very nice and sweet couple and their house is spotless and very clean. The pool is very nice too and the view spectacular. Futhermore you have both the pool and the lovely terrase for yourselves. Thanks for the stay - maybe we come back and I will tech you backgammon:-) Greetings from Pia, Gustav and Lars

Stayed Sep 17, 2017We have had a wonderful, very quiet and relaxing six day stay at Casa Madrugada. The view from the villa is absolutely beautiful and it's a joy to look down on the valley every day. The apartment is really lovely, it is well equipped with everything you need to be self catered - although Sayalonga has a couple of good restaurants as well. The couple who own the villa are charming and lovely hosts, who are helpful and welcoming. This apartment does need a rental car to really make the best of the location- and we would recommend the local vineyard for a visit as well as Nerja - which is a lovely seaside town only 9k away. Overall - great stay. Would recommend ?

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We and our four year-old loved this cosy little house with its pool, terraces, sunsets and uninterrupted outlook over the valley. Each part of the outdoor space is perfect for a different time of day or year. A door closes off the steep garden steps down from the terrace (relevant to those with toddlers). We appreciated the many delightful decorative details as much as our son enjoyed playing with the wide range of toys and earning his water wings. Laurence and her family were very thoughtful and kind hosts and we enjoyed their company, while they always respected our privacy. We also loved the home-made bread and garden produce. Sayalonga itself is simply a nice village to hang out in: sit down in any of the cafes and watch the kids playing football in the square; the food is good and the prices are comparatively low. Shop locally in the market or 10-15 minutes drive away at the supermarkets down by the coast. Various towns and beaches along the coast - and the picturesque villages inland - are easily reached with the hire car that you do need if you stay anywhere off the beaten track like this. For early morning exercise, one can walk along the road and up the wooded hill not far from the house. Thank you all for a lovely stay!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is the perfect place for people travelling with a small child. It is very safe with a sunny garden between the house and a mountain cliff and they offer all facilities for children. It is very beautifully and peacefully located with wonderful sunrises and sunsets over the mountains and close to the cute village Sayalonga with nice restaurants and a few small shops. The host couple Lorena and Pedro are very kind and thoughtful people who communicate in many languishes. The house is comfortable with all kinds of equipment. This is our second year visiting Casa la Madrugada and we really hope to come back again!
