La Joya Moderna - Vista Las Palmas Mid-Mod Gem

Loved the authentic mid modern design of the house! Plenty of space and amenities. Very clean. Great location! Did not like that we could not use the house front door. Every time in and out was thru the garage. Disappointed we could not use the fireplace since it was definitely the weather for it.

Rented house specifically for pool. Pool had human feces in it when we arrived. We saw pool gate wouldn’t latch Prop mgr sent pool co to clean it, he warned us not to get in it. Fearing for safety and health, we left. Prop mgr said they had other houses, wouldn’t relocate us. On phone for hours with VRBO, who didn’t honor Book With Confidence guarantee.

Elegantly designed house in best neighborhood, close to main street. Patios on both sides to catch the sun, very close to the mountains. A perfect stay for six people.

The property is exceptional in every way, The location is perfect and the Las Palmas neighbourhood is quiet and relaxing. Close to the hikes, walking distance to the restaurants and perfectly clean, well provisioned and beautifully presented mid century gem.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was perfect. We had some electrical issues in the beginning. The only way to enter the house is through a key pad in the garage. Our second day the key pad shut down and we could not get in the house. Acme did respond and they needed to switch out the batteries. We had to wait outside for over an hour and it was 100 degrees. I suggest giving a key up front as well. Also the hot tub was not working nor the pool lights at night and it was over the weekend so it was a bummer. They did send an electrician out the following Monday and by Tuesday everything was working. Also there was a huge stain on the living room sofa which was kinda gross so we did not use that sofa during our stay. I had reached out to Acme prior to our stay to ask if there would be any issues with the house since we just wanted to enjoy our vacation. I know things happen and some things can't be helped but clearly they did not do a walk through prior to our stay. Acme did respond quickly to our issues . I was glad we were there for an extended stay because if it was just the first weekend it would not have been a pleasant stay with all the issues. Oh and the mats leading into the house were dirty so I put them off to the side as to not track dirt into house. They need new door mats. The Manager and the owner did provide good customer service with all the issues.

We had a lovely visit the the Palm Springs area. The rental management company was very easy to work with and the house was wonderful!

Everything looks well taken care of or recently remodeled. There are nice views of the mountains and plenty of outdoor space. The pool was really warm which is nice with the cool mornings and evenings you experience in March. We would definitely recommend.

Anything you could possible want or need was available in the kitchen and the house was easy to keep clean and tidy - just the right amount of furniture and fabric. Acme was responsive and helpful when we needed them.
