Stayed May 21, 2021Good weather wasn't at the rendez-vous, but we still had a pleasant long weekend in Chabrehez. The house is old, but impeccably clean. We appreciated the nice touch of the aperitif waiting for us, and the host’s flexibility on departure time! We took full advantage of the ping-pong table and darts during the rainy evenings (wearing winter coats because the attic isn’t insulated). With places like Bastongne, Houffalize, Achouffe, Remouchamps and Lac de Nisramont in easy driving reach, the house is a good base for exploration. I only wish there was a boulangerie/épicierie within walking distance! My one request would be to remove “linens included” from the listing—because they actually require a payment on top of the rental fee. I was also surprised to learn that utilities (water, heat, electricity) also cost extra—this isn’t something we’ve encountered in any of our other house rentals.
