Stayed Jul 8, 2021The house is very well equipped, and it has an amazing view. The pool is nice also. In general, it is a great place, very comfortable and close to town but not part of it (which is great because you can rest and have privacy)

Stayed Jun 28, 2024This was a very nice property. The grounds were lovely, the porch heavenly, the pool refreshing, and the monkeys abundant. The nearby beach swimming was not as we had hoped and the proximity of the road was a little distracting. However, we would come back again if the opportunity arose. Great homeowner and manager! Very easy to work with and welcoming.

Stayed May 20, 2024My husband was absolutely in love with the cabin! I was very well maintained and I just enjoyed their beautiful pool as much as possible! Night swimming was just wonderful with the gorgeous lights the pool has! The wildlife at night was at times calming even with the howler monkeys nearby lol. Luis and Ginni were great at helping us with taxis when our calls were not going thru. My step daughter absolutley enjoyed the hammock! She even considered sleeping in it over night lol People in town were just wonderful and very friendly. I would definetly recommend and as a matter of fact I have had people already ask me about this Colina de Carolina.

Stayed Aug 17, 2023We loved La Colina de Carolina! It was like a treehouse oasis—beautiful landscape, cozy cabina with everything you need, lovely porch and awesome pool and view. Howler monkey alarm clocks, which we didn't mind. We had family staying down in town who were able to give us rides up the steep hill, though we did walk down with our kids a few of the mornings (15-20 min walk). Gini was so helpful in greeting us and getting us situated. We were very sad to leave!

Stayed Jul 24, 2023This was by far the best stand-alone property that we have rented anywhere. Our host and her caretaker were wonderful. The site is uphill from Montezuma so close enough to walk (if you can manage the hill) but cabs were always available in town if you couldn't. There was a little bit of road noise but nothing that disturbed us - we felt alone in this paradise. No a/c was not a problem there was always a delightful breeze and plenty of fans to cool the inside (we were only inside to cook and sleep anyway). And the pool - pictures are good but they don't do it justice, we were in it every day we were there, and it was so delightful to return from a day's adventure and spend the evening watching the sky while having a float! We would not hesitate to book this location again.

Stayed Jul 12, 2023This cabin location has beautifully maintained garden and infinity pool with incredible view. We stayed in July and every night was lightning storm and every day was sunny. Each morning woke to howler monkeys and beautiful birds while enjoying coffee. It was exceptionally humid this July. The house was better than town and we learned that dipping in the infinity pool helped cool us down prior to sleeping. Luis was friendly onsite caretaker with great insights on the area.

Stayed Feb 25, 2022Mesmerizing, Paradise, Comfortable just to stay put, just need groceries and wine and beer, and stay put and dnjoy the infinity pool and nature. We love Montezuma, plenty of restaurants and bars and shopping. You catch either a bus or a taxi just up the road from the drive way. We just either hated a taxi or thumbed it. The Tico's are wonderful people, aimed to please. Carolina and Luis are the best, and will help in any way. This place is booked for next winter, or we would have booked it before we left. You will all love it here, and will ot want to leave, as we do not want to leave.

Stayed Dec 20, 2021The perfect place to relax, gorgeous view from wrap porch. Nice to dip in pool afternoons. House has everything you need to cook. Comfortable for two people, more would be cramped inside using futon with little personal storage/space. Montezuma town is a bit gritty, roads are tough in the area. Must have a car.

Stayed Apr 9, 2021What an oasis in beautiful Montezuma. This property was even better then we expected - the photos online do not do it justice. The house is fully-stocked with everything you may need in the kitchen, plus Carol provides pool toys and beach mats, books, lots of info about the area, and entertainment. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable. We just loved waking up to the sounds of birds and monkeys, eating our breakfasts out on the beautiful deck overlooking the pool and the Pacific, and planning our days. And the pool - wow! My 9-year-old would have stayed in it the entire 5 days we were there if had let him. We only wish we had scheduled even more time here - we will be sure to come back!

Stayed Dec 28, 2019We spent ten days of bliss at LCC in December/January. From the giddy moment of arrival to the sad moment we had to leave, we found the property to be a delightful place for rest, relaxation, and reflection. As others have noted, there is no end to the time one can spend on the patio or pool deck, being caressed by the breeze and captivated by the sounds and views. Carol, the owner, was inviting and thorough in her correspondence; Ginette, the property manager, warmly greeted us and gave a fantastic rundown of both the property and the region; Luis, the caretaker, respected and ensured our privacy while being incredibly kind and gracious with our requests and queries. Various notes: -The building is beautifully crafted. -The pool is superb. -Stargazing from the pool or deck is highly recommended. I have never seen so many stars. -Despite the 26-30 degree heat, we slept comfortably at night and for naps during the day with the fans going -The kitchen is very well appointed for cooking. We cooked most of our breakfasts, eating it at our leisure from the beautifully crafted patio dining table -We ate most dinners in Montezuma and area's many excellent restaurants (Puggo's, Cocolores, and Sano Banano being our favourites) -Nice appliances (fridge, stove, clothes washer/dryer) and fast internet were unexpectedly appreciated luxuries -We made great use of our rental SUV. In fact I would suggest a vehicle is required as the ~1.5km road up from the village is steep, winding, busy during the day, and not pedestrian-friendly. Many of the roads in the area required at least moderate ground clearance, with 4x4 recommended (possibly a necessity in rainy season)
