This gated, oceanfront 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage is an ideal place to go for a cozy, cold-weather holiday on beautiful Vancouver Island.

The main floor has a modern, cottage-style kitchen, large living room, dining area, conservatory, queen bedroom, three-piece bathroom, and laundry facilities. On the second floor, guests will find two bedrooms, each with comfortable queen-sized beds and charming cottage furniture and an immaculately renovated three-piece bathroom.

Located just steps away from one of the most beloved, local sandy beaches, this cottage is the perfect location for winter seaside family holidays or group getaways. At low tide, you can bundle up and explore the expansive shoreline, try to catch a glimpse of some of the marine wildlife and groups with children will love having a colourful playground near the beach for those dry days.

The Kye Bay Beach House is easy to access and close to many travel access points. The Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) offers flights from two major Canadian carriers and is only five minutes away from the property. If you’re arriving from Vancouver by ferry, the Nanaimo ferry terminal is an easy hour drive on Highway 19, Swartz Bay ferry terminal is three and a half hours away and the capital city of Victoria is a three-hour drive away from the cottage.

    We had an amazing getaway at this beach home. We enjoyed walks on the beach, and watching seals and birds. The home was comfortable, and had all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay. Rich walked us through the home, and was very welcoming, and gave us great recommendations for dinner. The home is also very close to Comox and Courtenay for a quick grocery/coffee run. We hope to return soon!

    This property was suitable for our needs for a short stay. On line amenities lists Keurig - there was none and there were no instructions for the appliances. Would have been nicer if one bedroom had twin beds instead of all queens. Would have been more comfortable for 4 adults. The house needed a good cleaning, carpets were very dirty and drapery needed repair. The bedding was clean but stained.

    My wife and I enjoyed a lovely stay here, visiting family residing in the area. The property was exactly as advertised, very clean and lovely and extraordinarily well outfitted with a great kitchen. Outstanding views, extraordinarily quiet and private and perfect little retreat. With the sunroom and the space available for out-of-doors enjoyment, this would be even more spectacular in the spring, summer and fall. For a winter visit the only shortcoming was that there was a beautiful fireplace that we were asked not to use and which would have been perfect for cool rainy days and nights. Thanks to Rich for his warm welcome and intro to the home.

    The Beach House was perfect! Gorgeous view and location. The home had all the conveniences and the beds were very cozy. We loved being able to kayak just a few steps from the back door.

    We totally enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It was well equipped with top of the line dishes, pots/pans etc. So clean and the beds and linen were excellent. Would stay there again if the opportunity presented itself. With exception of the rare snowfall, everything was excellent!! Maggie Lougheed

    This was a very nice home right on a beautiful beach. It is perfect for three couples. It was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. It’s a bit older but some really great improvements have been made. There were just a couple of minor things that needed fixing which we mentioned. Would recommend this property.
