Kooringal Beach Cottage Hat Head

Great location and facilities! Perfect for a young family. Plenty of room inside and out.

Kitchen was new and nice and clean. Bathrooms could do with the same spruce up. A previous tenant left food and other stuff in the bins which had attracted a large number of flies which hung around the back terrace area and were a real issue. The ceiling fan helped a bit to get rid of them though they were an issue for us every day. The yard is large which was great and i love how you can drive the car around the back and drive out forward.

This is our second time staying at Kooringal and we very much enjoyed our stay. It was wonderful to see the upgrade to the kitchen. Our family loves the open outdoor space. This home provides a comfortable backdrop for the quintessential Hat Head experience. Looking forward to coming back soon

The property was advertised as pet friendly but not fenced. 2 days before arrival the owner contacted us to let us know pet weren’t allowed inside at any time.BBQ gas bottle was empty on arrivalWe were charged extra 200 with no consultation a week later for rearranging furniture.

House was just as described and provided the perfect base for a weekend in Hat Head. The owner was great to deal with and kept in regular contact to ensure that our stay was seamless. A great weekend!

The owner's daughter confirmed with me April 2022 that the property was fenced to contain dogs. This is not true, dogs can't be contained in the yard as it is not fully fenced. I found this out only after paying the full rental and past the refund date. There are no photos of the bathroom posted, I found out why. The bathroom is tiny, dirty and mouldy. The separate toilet is also filthy. The floors throughout the house were dirty. Lots of ants, we left clean clothes on the lounge and they became covered in ants. The baby's portacot (ours) also had ants inside. The kitchen was brand new, clean and well equipped. The oven was filthy and did not heat well, food took twice as long to cook. The fridge/ freezer looked new, was clean and had plenty of room. The house, particularly the large bedroom was unbearably hot and did not have a fan but did have block out blinds. The lounge and 2 other bedrooms had very good fans but no blinds, only light curtains. There is a large, covered outdoor area with a good fan, barbecue and 2 tables with plenty of chairs. Outdoor cold shower was very good to rinse off after a swim. Washing machine worked well. Huge wasp nest on the garage, they did buzz around us alot. Check in was not good, the house was meant to be unlocked at 2:30pm, after contacting the owner it was unlocked at 4:30pm. Location was great with easy access to the river. Very high rates for bottom end accommodation.

Absolutely loved this hat in arguably the best location In hat head! The house was perfect for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Geoff was a legend and super easy to deal with, highly recommend this property to all! We will be back, thanks again!

Fantastic place for holiday in small fishing village

Went over the listing 3 -4 times just to double check if I needed to take linen couldn't find anything to say we did. When we arrived no linen....lucky we had a beach towel to use in the shower and had to sleep on the bed covers as no sheets .
