Koala Cottage - tranquil, sun-drenched Somers

House was very clean and comfortable. Nice big backyard next to a quiet park.

The cottage is well laid out and has all the amenities one would hope for. The host’s instructions were comprehensive and clear and the location tranquil and yet well positioned. We loved our stay.

Lovely location and a perfect home for a beach holiday. Our host was great and we would definitely stay here again.

Koala Cottage was very comfortable, quiet and very well equipped. There was plenty of everything we needed, including Christmas related things that Angela thoughtfully provided.

Beautiful spot in a quiet neighbourhood, short walk to the beach and a lovely tidy home. We will be back!

We stayed at Koala Cottage over Footy Finals long weekend and it was one of our best holidays. Angela is a perfect host, she made the booking process very easy for us, even though it was last minute decision. Check in was clear and easy, which was great after a busy day we had visiting Port Nepean and Cape Schanck Lighthouse. On arrival we found the cottage just as described - cosy, peaceful and relaxing. We popped in local IGA on our way to the cottage to grab some meat - great selection of food and drinks - and had bbq on the verandah, enjoying birds and admiring starry sky. Next morning we walked to the beach and kids played on flying fox just outside of the backyard. We spent 3 wonderful days exploring beautiful peninsula and managed to do and see a lot in the short time due to Koala Cottage being close to everything. On our last day we checked out and went to French island to see koalas and peacocks - ferry terminal is only a few minutes away from Koala Cottage. We really enjoyed our holiday at Koala Cottage and we hope to be back soon.

We were not able to get in until 3.50 pm as cleaning still in progress. Connection to WIFI not possible at all. Position and access to the shop and beach great & so easy. Double bed very comfortable. We did not use any of the cooking facilities. We enjoyed our catch up with friends.

Angela was very helpful and accommodating - we had a lovely time and appreciated her attention to detail to meet our needs. The deck is a great spot to sit and listen to the birds!

We had a lovely few days at koala cottage. Property was clean and well suited our needs. Short walk to beach and to general store. Would love to come back another time

The house was fine for our stay. We weren’t looking for luxury but more convenience and comfort and the house delivered, we always love visiting Somers it’s such a lovely town.I think we were unlucky in that the owner was short staffed and the house wasn’t ready when we wanted to check in, as in six hours after scheduled check in- I ended up finishing making 3 beds because I just needed to settle the kids.I am sure the owner won’t let this happen again and future guests will have a regular check in. I am leaving this review so it’s noted that changes in process should be put in place. A few other things happened in the check in that were not ok but I don’t need to over complain, I am sure it’s all smoothed out now. It definitely disappointed my holiday ecxpectations but this is all fixable.
