Second time staying in the home, first with Vacasa. Cleanliness was pretty subpar, didn’t feel clean very much at all during the week and had to do more cleaning than anything during the week where the cleaning crew didn’t do a great job. Furniture and bedding are pretty uncomfortable, most air mattresses are more comfortable especially in the queen beds.

The neighborhood and service. The grocery store was right across the street, the beach was 2 blocks away and everyone was extremely friendly!

Liked the house the walk to the beach was ok. Could use outdoor showers there are none and other things in the home could be better

We have been renting in OBX for 20 plus years and this was by far our least favorite house. Didn’t smell clean when we arrived, found cockroaches on Monday evening on the 3rd level as well as mouse droppings in a first floor bedroom. I contacted the company by email and still to this date have not heard a word from them. Customer service seems to not be a priority! Will not be renting from Vacasa again!

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst rentals we’ve stayed in due to the cleanliness of the house. You can definitely see that the house is not maintained by the owner/investor. The air vents/returns, blinds, baseboards, under beds, etc. are not cleaned on a regular basis. The dust is so thick on these surfaces and have not been wiped down for years. The only thing good/comfortable on the beds are the sheets provided by the rental company because the blankets are so very old they are falling apart. Some beds did not even have comforters on them. So if you rent this property, be sure to take your own blankets if you want to be comfortable! Lastly, the carpeting is so filthy & dirty that you need to wear shoes at all times to feel comfortable walking on it. On the positive side, the house is spacious and the location is not too far from the ocean. Also the location to the grocery store is nice. Unfortunately this is not a house we would ever rent in the future.

House was great, lots of room for us to spread out after a long day on the beach. Lots of stairs - definitely a work out. Pool and hot tub were clean and used daily. Do wish the house had a garbage disposal.

The home was perfect for our large family get-away. The home is spacious, had just about everything you would need in the kitchen and was about a 10 min walk to the beach. The pool is small, but still worked out for the kiddos we had with us. The downfall of this home is the rental service they are using, Vacasa. We were to check-in on Saturday by 6pm. We called in advance 4 separate times to see if the home would be available sooner than 6pm (this was advised by Vacasa). After being told each time that they did not know when the home would be cleaned, we received a phone call from Vacasa advising us to enter into the home at 5pm to find that it had not been cleaned yet from the last vacationers that were there. When I called Vacasa back, they suggested we just use the pool until the cleaning team arrived. My family decided to head to dinner and the store to give the cleaning team the space and time to get our vacation home ready for us.. We returned at 6:45pm and there were no cars in the driveway. We thought to ourselves, they must be all done cleaning our home. We walk in and find that cleaning people were still there. They did not leave the property until after 7pm. While this is probably just a simple mix up on the cleaning time, I felt that Vacasa could have handled this very differently.

This is the first time we stayed on the sound side. Disappointed with the views. Overall the house was nice, however, during the storm it was a little chilly and drafty.

This house was in a great location! Just a short walk to the beach, the grocery store and (most importantly) Duck Donuts! The sound is also a quick bike ride or drive away while still in the neighborhood. While check in was expected to be early evening due to enhanced cleaning, we were informed the property was ready well before the deadline. We also received a voucher for beach rentals which was a huge blessing! The home was well equipped and ready for us. The kitchen in particular (except for a broken waffle maker and espresso machine - so sad!) was fabulously well stocked. As a family of 10, we did a lot of cooking on site and had everything we needed from pots and pans, to casserole dishes - even a crock pot and Rubbermaid containers for left overs. The decks are wonderful for quiet moments and the 2nd floor laundry convenient. We would rent again, hands down.

Loved the size of the house and all the amenities had everything you could have asked for pool hot tub pool table and lots of space for all 11 adults for a friendcation and location was perfect close to everything we needed. It was perfect!!
