This home is amazing! The best vacation rental we have stayed at on Whidbey, and we have stayed at several. The beach is amazing, but the house is also perfect in every way - kitchen is well equipped, tv is easy to use/navigate, showers and bath are well made and maintained. Host correspondence was top shelf. We will be back!

We have been going to Kingfisher for years now - it’s an absolutely beautiful house from its architectural lines, design layout and views. The amenities are quality as are the beds and bedding.. wife and I love this house and location so much we’ve asked owner if he’d sell - i know exactly why he plans to never sell it! Thank you AH!

Beautiful property in prime quiet location with stunning water views. We strolled the beach at low tide each morning and were in awe of the stars at night. Cruise ships, cargo ships, Navy vessels and eagles added to the view. We will be back.

Over all house was in a very good location. Just a few small suggestions: Towel bar(s) in downstairs bathroom next to sink; waste baskets in bedrooms/living area (only 2 in downstairs area - kitchen and toilet room); outdoor lights on back deck (it is VERY dark at night if you are taking your dog outside in the backyard). House itself was very clean and well organized. I liked the UTube TV.

We had a great time at Kingfisher Beach House! Comfy beds, well-supplied kitchen, and gorgeous sunsets. We enjoyed the proximity to everything we wanted to do on Whidbey. A highlight of our stay was a tour of nearby Ballydídean Sanctuary Farm. Thank you Andy for your hospitality.

We had an incredible stay at this property - it was exactly as listed and absolutely perfect for celebrating our anniversary. The space was luxurious, the views were stunning, and everything felt thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. One highlight was the exceptionally well stocked kitchen, which made cooking a breeze (not something you find in every rental!). We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would come back in a heartbeat.

A beautiful and stylish home, truly is a slice of happiness. A hidden gem, nestled perfectly in nature with stunning views of the shoreline and mountains. The location is idyllic, offering lovely peaceful walks along the beach and an abundance of wildlife, making every moment special. Nicely located for exploring the island and easily accessible to Seattle and mainland by nearby ferry. The house itself is beyond wonderful – so blessed to have spent time in this beautifully designed and spacious house, filled with a thoughtful blend of cultural influences. Thorough attention to detail infused into the interior decor and outside area. Kitchen was extremely well-stocked, delightful bedroom balcony and high end bathrooms. Starting each day with spectacular, breathtaking views and the soothing sound of the waves was a privilege. And we’ll never forget the incredible sunsets – a true highlight. We had the pleasure of meeting Andy and his lovely family, they were so helpful, welcoming and friendly. Their warm hospitality and thoughtful welcome gift, featuring local items made us feel truly at home. Andy and Maggie went above and beyond as hosts. This stay has been a perfect way to make lasting memories with our family. We truly had the best time and it surpassed our already very high expectations, we were all so overjoyed when we arrived. It is by far our favourite ever place to stay. Looking forward to when we can return. Highly recommend the Kingfisher Beach House, it’s amazing.

We stayed at Andy and Maggie’s beautiful beachfront home with our two teen sons. This is one of our favorite rentals ever! The views are fantastic, the house is so well designed and perfectly set up for a vacation stay. The communication was excellent, and we appreciated alll of Andy’s recommendations and tips.The property is exactly as advertised. No “trick” photography. Every element was true to the listing and exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well stocked, and easy to cook in. We played games every night, and everyone appreciated the comfortable beds and spa-like bathrooms. Whidbey Island made for a great family get-a-way and we hope to be back.

We reached out to talk with Andy about using this home for our small ceremony. He was such a great help in getting to know the island more for options for this. We had such a lovely time and highly recommend this place! The home is beautiful and the beach is right there to enjoy! We got to see lots of animals. This was so peaceful and relaxing. We are truly grateful for Andy and his spouse, Maggie, for allowing us to rent their home for our special moment. Huge thank you!

We enjoyed the solitude and comfort at this wonderful spot. Thank you to Andy for the great communication and having all the essentials for a relaxing getaway for our family. Clean, comfortable, right on the beach with everything we needed and more.

House has pretty much everything you could need. Coffee grinder... some food, some condiments... every kinda pan and cooking utensil. Bathrooms are pretty nice. w/d works well enough. If it's not clear this is The Kingfisher House... there are t-shirts in every size and color in case you want to take one home. We were 2 couples, master bedroom was nice, huge closet and bathroom... but my partner and I decided to take the Queen bed downstairs... that bathroom is also awesome. The house does have a Sonos speaker--which is awesome-- but it is ancient and you will have to work to get it connected. Beach was sick. Riding the ferry is sick. Washington is an incredible place.

We wanted a short family getaway before the holidays. The Kingfisher Beach House was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals at home. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms made us feel like we were staying at a spa. We will be back for another visit in the future.

Lovely location, house, and owner. We came up on a stormy weekend and no worries when the power went out as they have an automatic transfer to generator. Great location to kick back and relax. Looking forward to coming back in a warmer month.

Our family had a memorable time at Kingfisher beach house. We all agreed the best part was being right on the beach. We took way too many pictures of the gorgeous views. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels and other necessities. Andy was very responsive and made it easy to rent. I would recommend this property.

We so enjoyed our stay here. The house was high-end and relaxing and the beach access was fantastic. The location is close to Langley and Clinton. We hope to be back.

We had a great time at the house. We gave a lower star only in terms of updates needed and or listing clarified for others! Owner's helpful and kind to work with. Property only had air conditioning in kitchen only.! Bedrooms stuffy and no airflow or air conditioning in any of bedrooms. I would be concerned coming in warmer months. Lighting in master bath inadequate and shower pressure very low. We needed to use downstairs shower. No window coverings in master bedroom upper windows and neighbors left on spotlight nightly . We really needed cushions for outdoor furniture and none were available. Very sparse furniture. No closets in 2 lower bedrooms. TV placed very high on wall hard to watch comfortably , and fireplace did not work well.

Kingfisher is nothing but perfect. Our third time staying here and we will be back again and again. Andy the owner/host couldn’t be more accommodating. A joy.

Fabulous, fabulous!!! We've stayed in a lot of great VRBO properties, but this one makes our top three. Exactly as advertized, the home is right on the water with killer views plus serenity. Great birds!
