Karinall Estate is a peaceful property with 300 feet of lakeshore. It is a great setting for a family reunion, friends getaway, small wedding or even a corporate retreat. We can take care of the details for you. Karinall estate is located on Wymer Lake which is two miles south of Frazee, MN. Get lost in this 9,400 sq foot home with a sprawling deck. This year-round paradise property offers fishing, puzzles, books galore, sunning on the dock, ice fishing, bird watching, canoeing, amazing sunsets, and so much more. It includes 8 bedrooms, 18 beds (sleep 24), 6 bathrooms, and several reading nooks to enjoy. Also, a large 16'x20' room overlooking the lakeside grounds offers the ideal space for a business meeting, scrapbooking or yoga retreat. Karinall features a hot tub/exercise room, a pool table for entertainment, even an atrium with live trees, a waterfall and bistro tables to visit or enjoy a cup of coffee. A walk-out patio overlooks the gentle slope to the lake with steps that wind down to the lake. The beach is sand with some shallow weeds that will wear away with more use. The water deepens gradually. It is about chest high at the end of the dock. Each of the rooms in Karinall are themed and named after a classic book.
At the end of the day toast a marshmallow over the fire pit and make a S’more! Have a piano player in the group Gather around and sing along. Grab a glass of wine or a cup of hot chocolate and nestle around one of two stone fireplaces and reminisce with family, friends or co-works.
The living space is equipped with all your needs. We include all quality bedding, bathroom towels, all cookware, silverware, plates, cups, a Keurig, coffee pot, dishwasher, microwave, ovens, refrigerators, crockpots, a roaster, and a grill. We recommend seeing the World’s Largest Turkey. It is on your way to Frazee, which is just 5 quick minutes away. Frazee also has a grocery store, drug store, liquor store, Ketter's Meat Market, and a gas station/convenience store. Or head to Vergas and see the World’s Largest Loon. Vergas has great shopping and restaurants too.
Let us take care of the details of making a reservation to celebrate that special occasion. One of my personal favorites is Spanky’s Stone Hearth which is three miles away. It offers fine dining. Everything on the menu is decadent and there is an extensive wine list. At Spanky’s sit by one of the stone fireplaces or in a booth overlooking Rose Lake. Golf trip in order Let us make a tee time at one of our local golf courses. Want a private yoga class, we can arrange that too. Kari lives on Wymer Lake and is a Yoga instructor who trained in Guatemala. We also invite you to relax, rejuvenate and unwind to a soothing massage during your stay. We’ve partnered with a talented certified massage therapist who will travel to the Karinall Estate (pre-booking required).
Don’t feel like cooking after a day on the water or ice Visit one of the area’s “must try” restaurants. Zorbaz is a Minnesota favorite for Mexican or pizza. It is casual dining. Zorbaz is just a 15-minute drive to the east or west. Or if you are in the mood for burgers or a Bloody Mary, try out Billy’s Bar in Vergas. Skal is great too. There are many more amazing restaurants nearby, just let me know what you're in the mood for and I can give you a few recommendations. If you want food catered in or would like me to come to cook for you at Karinall, just ask about my availability and menu.
Winter is a great time for vacationing in the area. Enjoy snowshoeing or cross-country skiing around Wymer Lake. There are also endless miles of snowmobile trails. Detroit Mountain is 15 minutes away if you want to hit the slopes for some downhill skiing, snowboarding or tubing. They have biking and hiking trails in the summer months.
When you first arrive at Karinall, I (Heather) will be there to greet you and help you get acquainted with the property. You can call or text me anytime with questions. Marlys (The property owner) stays in the three bedroom apartment above the garage, which has a separate entrance. She is a spunky lady with a great sense of humor. You will love her. She can also answer any questions you may have. We can’t wait for you to visit Karinall Estates. It will be something you and your family or friends will want to make an annual event.

Really enjoyed Karinall Estate. Huge home with great access to and view of the lake. The home has several fun amenities that are not listed in VRBO, but Heather, the point of contact was awesome at anwering these. Lilypad, paddleboat, paddleboards, kayaks were all in stock and in good shape. Great deck and outside chairs made for enjoyable mornings and evenings. Great view of the sunset every night! Pontoon is also available from Heather to be rented. There isn't a hot tub, which it sounds like has been attempted to update in VRBO, but it still ends up listed. We had 3 families with several kids, everyone had their own bed. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were too! Kitchen is large, great for cooking. Lots of room for meal seating at the 3 dining rooms tables and outdoor table. Great firepit and great outdoor seating on the hill leading down to the lake. Overall great place! We hope to come back again!
We had most of our family up for a fun week long vacation with my brother and his family at Little Pine Lake….we had a blast! The house was definitely big enough to handle all of us! Location was great! Spanky’s and Zorba’s are great places to eat!
Wonderful house, lots of room, very clean, plenty of sitting areas, played in the lake, kitchen was the best supplied we have ever seen! Marlys & Heather were easy to reach if we needed anything. Only 1 issue-steps down to Lake were roped off & due to our ages & our knees(!), very hard to walk up & down the slope to the water. Used the steps after 3 days but would have done more water things if we could have used the stairs:) And as we no longer run up & down stairs-we were cautious & all ended up just fine♡ I would absolutely love to return.
We had our wedding on the property and it was absolutely amazing. The views and house were so amazing and unique, and the house is so well stocked and organized. I would definitely sty here again for another gathering. Beautiful.
Our large family (21 of us) came together at Karinall for a great week of vacation! The home exceeded our expectations, with wonderfully themed rooms throughout the house and plenty of space!! Heather was right there to greet us upon arrival, and quickly responsive to any inquiries during our stay. The lake was beautiful, and Heather helped us rent the pontoon boat for a couple of days, so we had some nice boat rides to enjoy!! We are definitely coming back, and we will gladly recommend Karinall to everyone!!
Beautiful property with exquisite detail to the theme of each room. Lakefront with potential to rent pontoons for fishing, swimming, relaxing, The website and property manager are extremely helpful in suggesting activities, catering, and restaurants in the vicinity. Highly recommend the guided pontoon ride. Wonderful stay!
We had a great time at the estate!!
Been to many vacation rentals, this property scores good in all aspects especially the size and its design. Our families with adults and kids thoroughly enjoyed every bit of moment in our in all 3 nights stay. We were there for mid March around 50f weather and there are plenty to do inside cabin. kids loved pool table and hot tub. It will be surprised if renters give lower than 5 stars and property manager Heather were so helpful. We will visit again for sure during summer. Hi Heather - Hope you liked our food and property owner enjoyed our stay as well !!!
