Kahele Kai - Ocean views, steps to Poipu's best beaches, A/C throughout!

This place exceeded expectations. It was spacious and even better than we had hoped for. Great location as well

Couldn’t figure out how to turn on overhead light and fan in master bedroom. Mattress was sloped towards the edges, otherwise comfortable. Headboard wobbled in 2nd bedroom. hooks in downstairs shower fall off.Only bathmat was in the master. Would have been nice to have a grill grid so veggies don’t fall through the grates. Comfortable seating Cleaning staff were great!

My wife and I stayed here a week along with our daughter and her family, six in all, including two kids, 5 and 7. The home is just a couple blocks from Poipu Beach Park, and we'd walk down there every day with one of the wagons, part of all the beach supplies you need. It wasn't warm enough to warrant air conditioning, though that is available - ceiling fans were perfect. No bugs, quiet location, plenty of kitchen supplies, laundry was put to good use. The included pool club (just a 5 minute drive) was a great fit for the kids, they went every day after first going to a beach, and loved the slide there. Overall, a great fit for our group. Not high-end (bring your own soap and shampoo, no fancy coffee maker, towels a bit worn, etc.), but very functional overall for a beach-focused vacation. We also enjoyed walking the block down to the ocean to join the other visitors and locals for the nightly sunset and whale watch.

It was a great location and had so many things for our family. The beach toys and beach wagons were great to have.

The house was lovely and very close to Brennecke and Poipu beaches. We loved walking to the beach and then sitting on the lanai in the evening to enjoy the views. Perfect for the whole family to enjoy. The athletic club access was really nice, pool was a hit with the kids. Vicki was super responsive. Mahalo!

We were so delighted! The communication, accommodations and location were perfect! It was wonderful to have everything we needed for a great time at the beach supplied, and having good linens and comfortable beds was even better. We cooked meals in the kitchen every day and had everything we needed. Definitely A

Fantastic home in a great location. Everything was comfortable and had all the items you need for a great beach day and to cook at home. Living room was comfortable and the views were great. We loved having the wagon, 4 beach chairs, and boogie boards to take down to Poipu Beach just a few minutes walk away. Would happily stay here again! Vicki our house was very responsive as well and super helpful.

We had an amazing stay at Kahele Kai! The house was clean and spacious as advertised. Management was very flexible and responsive in terms of check-in and check out. Location is exemplary – literally steps from a beautiful beach and/or hike. These accommodations were perfect for a stay in Kauai, providing a more intimate, authentic atmosphere suiting the island.

A well maintained house in a great location in Poipu. Short easy walk to Poipu beach with a beach rental shop along the way. We walked about 5 minutes to watch the sunset and then the turtles come in every night at the beach. Just a bit further down in the other direction is Makahu’ena Point where the waves are powerful. The house has everything you need for a family and is well stocked in the kitchen. We appreciated the laundry supplies and spices left in the house. The pictures of the house are accurate on VRBO. We struggled to find a comfortable temperature with the air conditioning units in some of the rooms (downstairs was hot and one of the ceiling fans in the bedroom would only work on the low setting). We did not use it but the rental comes with access to Poipu Beach Athletic Club. Overall a good stay.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 9 day stay at Kahele Kai. The location is ideal to stroll to the beach- teen boys loved body surfing Brennecke and the rest of us spent lots of time on Po’ipu. Saw multiple sea turtles and monk seals! For the first time on Kauai, this is now our favorite island- it is beautiful with lots to do, or not do! The home was great. It was very well-stocked with all we could need, the host was responsive with clear communications, and did I mention the fantastic location. We spent nearly every evening on the lanai listening to the waves as the sun set, and the home design really takes advantage focusing on the great views of the beach and ocean. Beds were comfortable, air conditioner helped keep it a bit cooler than outside, and the bathrooms were very good. Highly recommend and will absolutely love to stay here again!

This place is worth staying at for the location alone! The beds were all comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. The house is within walking distance to a rental place for surfboards, snorkeling equipment and more which was super convenient for my young adult children. It was amazing being within walking distance to amazing body surfing, snorkeling and surfing spots. It fit our needs perfectly and we would love to come back! Thank you!

Great property. Super close to the beach. We got in late night and had a bit of a challenge finding the house, but other than that, it was a fantastic property.

We loved this property. It was perfect for our group of nine (a mix of adults, teens and children). The house is a 3-5 minute walk to Brennecke and Poipu beaches and a short car ride to everything in Poipu/Koloa. We had all that we needed in the kitchen to cook multiple family meals. The outside shower was a giant bonus and the air conditioning units kept the property nice and cool. We would not hesitate to return! Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

It was a short walk to some very nice beaches. We slept 7 people in the house very comfortably and had everything we needed at the house. We appreciated the beach chairs and the kids loved the boogie boards. The view of the water was very limited. Everyone enjoyed our stay very much.

This was one of our first attempts at a family vacation home instead of a hotel. This house really worked well for our family of 8. It was clean, tidy, and just perfect for our needs. It’s a block away from the beach so it was quiet. But with a short walk we were staring at the ocean and some of the best beaches on the island. Thanks for sharing the house so we could create such awesome memories! Highly recommend because we could hang out and share stories at the end of the day in the family room and eat a bowl of cereal whenever I wanted…:)

The house is spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Poipu365 was very responsive to texts. The only caution which is out of the hands of the owner are the middle of the night and early morning crows of the many roosters which are everywhere on the island.
