CASA PORTUGUESA is a cozy villa that consists of an independent building (V2 + 1) with an interior staircase, located very close to the beach (to the beach it is only a 5 minute walk along a beautiful landscaped pedestrian path). It has a view of the sea from all rooms, a panoramic terrace, a small yard with excellent 'barbecue', great shade and areas for meals and rest. Living room with sofa bed and fireplace (disabled), 3 bedrooms (two with sea views and one with access to the terrace fromwhere you can enjoy a panoramic view). Kitchenette well equipped. Two bathrooms (bathroom with bathtub + WC with shower). Access to running water outside. House in a privileged location, with energy certificate and licensed to provide local accommodation services. There is free parking facility on the public road (30 meters from the house) and in the parking lot of Coelha beach itself (100 meters from the house). WI-FI INTERNET and TV with cable channels (free).

    Property great location . Well equipped and spotlessly clean and furnished with lovely antique Portuguese furniture. But first self catering place ever stayed where was expected to pay for hire of towels and bed linen !! Thought that bit much as rent for week was expensive . The owner did provide free in end as only two of us occupying property. Not sure if stay there again as area although residential and close to beautiful beach property was situated right on road and was quite noisy with seagulls, dogs barking and refuse trucks emptying bins early hours of morning.

    We spent a week here 1st week in Sept '17, and we really enjoyed the property. It is full of character and was a delight to have the use of. Comments are small things that others may need to consider. Property owner on hand to provide keys etc. to allow us to commence our stay with no problems and checked with us during the week that we well etc., so good client care to my view. All the essentials were available to us in the property for our stay, and it has as an internal charm to match the external. The ground floor accom is perhaps a bit compact were it fully occupied (there were just 3 adults in our party so it provided no great issues to us). It was clean throughout on arrival and not too difficult to maintain that way by any occupant. The internal stairs are probably a bit steeper, and steps smaller in height and depth than perhaps people in the UK are used to, but not restrictively so.(maybe an inch smaller than in modern UK build standards. Only mentioned in case prospective leasers have people who are less capable in their party. The pictures on the site need to be considered selectively by any viewer. There are multiple pictures but not all relate to this specific property. It would be better to tailor the presentation to suit. Not necessarily a problem so long as the property description is read carefully, The written details are accurate and there were no hidden surprises. Whilst the beach is not on the doorstep, the walk is entirely in line with the estimated distance given. The access route is not fully roadworthy but a decent walking surface for the whole length. A couple of points stopped me scoring this as a 5 star, 1 of minor significance, the other potentially more problematic. For the minor point, the mattresses on the beds were very firm, but this is a matter of taste, and maybe entirely suitable for others. The more important item is that fridge had a defective door seal leaving gaps around a couple of corner points, which meant that it was permanently running when the weather was warm. A minor annoyance for the holiday, but if it were for a restaurant it would be a health weakness for the equipment if it wasn't resolved/replaced/repaired. I'm not sure the same rules apply for a holiday lease, but needs consideration. As previously stated this is a lovely property, in a good location and it offered full value for the price, and these comments should not dissuade any future client.
