Joshua Tree Monochrome - 5 mins from National Park

The house is very nice. I enjoyed our stay. It’s very stylish and up-to-date. and is very convenient to the park.

Really lovely stay. Unexpected highlights - the house is right across the road from undeveloped wilderness that you can take in from the covered deck (I spent hours sitting out there) - and a charger for electric vehicles (very much welcome as we came in our EV.) Very solid kitchen (as always, bring your own knives if you are serious about cooking,) comfortable bed, again with a view to the wilderness, and very nice bathroom. Would definitely return.

We did not find the listing accurate: it shows 1 bedroom (queen bed and futon) and 1 common space (1 futon). In actuality it is like a studio apartment with one giant room that connects the kitchen to the common space to the bed/ with NO walls between them and only 1 queen bed and only 1 futon total. (I would not classify it as a bedroom and common room/ I would also not list the futon 2x implying there is more than one.) We booked this for four people with a couple/ toddler/ adult friend. So the toddler had to sleep in the bed with the couple and the adult friend had to sleep on the couch in the same room with them. Had we known this was the case- we would have chosen another place. Had it been only our family (one couple with toddler) the place would be ideal- I really would argue it only sleeps 3. (It also shows a game room/ it does not have a game room...) What is accurate? Its very close (minutes aways) to the National Park entrance (sits in between the Park office/gift shop and the park itself). It was clean, has nice shower with soaps.Easy to use kitchen with needed supplies - a fancy expresso maker, spices in the cupboard, dishes/pans/ dishwasher and washing machine. Patio was nice to use. Drawback to the place was the very rough driveway and pull out onto a busy street- was hard to drive in a motorcycle and small suv over the gravelly surface, but we accomplished it. We had no issues with the entry and the host communicated to us the needed code in advance.

Wonderful stay! Location is very close to both the park entrance and Joshua Tree downtown. Such a cute house and be sure to take some quiet time on the patio. Would absolutely stay again.

We loved our stay at the Monochrome. It was very quaint, perfect size, very comfortable, and magical view! The owner was so helpful and easy to reach. The place is modern and well appointed. Very cozy, and a great spot!
