Jewel Lodge on Mantrap Lake: Luxury Waterfront Home and 600 Acres Awaits

This home was gorgeous! Great open concept and plenty of beds for our group of 10. Lovely lake view & lake access. The wet room on the main floor was gorgeous & they have thought of everything you might need in the kitchen. We were in the area celebrating our daughter’s wedding and this place was a perfect home base for us!

The house was amazing, above and beyond what we expected. Everything was comfortable with lots of space for all of us. My grandchildren loved all of the space to run. Lots of giggles the whole weekend!! Hope to come back again. Would recommend to everyone.

This is a great house for a larger group gathering. So impressed with all the extras that are provided that made our stay so much more convenient and enjoyable. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen and gathering space was so accommodating for our family needs. The hosts were very invested in making our stay as positive and enjoyable as possible.

This place was beautiful! The interior was very clean and lovely. It had everything we could possibly need. The lake is beautiful with plenty of wildlife to observe as well as great fishing. There was ample space for the whole family, plus John and Wendy were excellent hosts.

The home was perfect for our family. We used the outdoor kitchen almost daily. John responded very quickly to any of our questions. We would definitely go back to this home. We were disappointed it had been booked for next year

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! The kitchen and pantry were amazing they made cooking here a joy. The owners truly thought of everything for this home — they didn’t miss a single detail.During our trip, we enjoyed a family outing to the Mississippi Headwaters and Bemidji, and it was so nice to come back each day to such a comfortable, welcoming space. The house is very kid-friendly, with plenty of toys, an outdoor swingset, and even a raked sand beach for hours of fun. The lake is a bit weedy with lily pads, but that didn’t stop us from paddle boarding and floating. The kids even did some off-the-dock fishing — nothing big enough to keep, but still lots of fun!We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would love to come back!

We just wrapped-up our week long family vacation at Jewel Lodge on Mantrap Lake. This home is a true jewel, as it addressed everything our large group needed for a fantastic week. The home is beautiful, extremely well equipped and easily accommodated a group of 18 people (8 kids under 11). John and Wendy are great hosts and were quick to answer any questions and assist with any needs the group had. Everyone had a great time and are already looking forward to next year's stay!

The most beautiful VRBO we have stayed at.The Hosts had a person on hand every day to assist us if we needed anything including firewood. This is one VRBO you can believe the pictures on their advertising site. This place has everything you need, a huge spacious kitchen stocked with everything, large double door fridge/freezer and stove/ovens. It even had a coffee/beverage nook.There is a game table with sitting areas, a TV area, and a large dining area with a long wooden table that seats 12. There is a large master suite on the main floor with a walk-in closet, bathroom with a bidet, two sinks and a spacious walk in wet room with a shower and bath tub. Upstairs has several bedrooms and bathrooms. Enough to sleep up to 18. Everything is new, remodeled and up to date. Our family had a wonderful vacation experience at the Jewel Lodge on Mantrap Lake. I don't normally write reviews, but thought it was warranted in this case. We had a family retreat for my mom's 80th birthday at the lodge. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the checkin to the checkout John did a great job of communicating. The lodge has been recently updated which made it feel like we were the first ones to stay there. It rained the entire time we were there, but the cabin was so condusive to socializing and relaxing that we didn't even notice. Can't wait to get back there soon!

This property is simply gorgeous tucked away in the north woods. We stayed with a group for a baseball tournament in town and the bedroom and bathroomSet up was so comfortable and plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Gorgeous updates, kitchen stocked beyond any expectations. Plenty of linens, games, and conveniences of home, actually more than home for some things, wow! Quiet lakefront makes for a delightful weekend or week long stay. Cannot wait to come back. Our group loved it.

Wow... Just WOW!!! Our family celebrated a late Christmas together at John & Wendy's amazing lodge, and it was absolutely spectacular - one of the nicest places we've ever stayed! The entire lodge is immaculate and gorgeous, the layout was perfect for our large family, the amenities were wonderful (and plentiful), it is located in a stunning location, the kitchen was stocked to the hilt with brand new everything, communication was amazing... Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a more lovely and wonderful stay - we've already booked it again for next year and can't wait to go back!!!

We rented this cabin to spend our family Christmas. This cabin is absolutely gorgeous. More than enough room. Very clean. The kitchen is a dream!! The hosts were amazing to work with as well. We made so many memories and enjoyed our stay. We are already looking forward to spending our next Christmas at this beautiful place! Thank You for having us!

The home was very nice with many amenities and everything we needed for our baking weekend. Our family thouroughy enjoyed the home!

When we arrived, the check-in process was communicated to us and was so easy to follow. The host actually came and met us shortly after we checked in and he made us feel right at home. The home was perfect for us, as we had family coming from several locations, and there was enough parking for our families 5 vehicles. The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and common areas were well decorated and comfortable, giving us plenty of space to sleep, eat and relax. The outside grilling area was superb! We used the dock for the pontoon we had rented off-site, with the beach/dock area being very useable, with a nice sand play area. We used the firepit each night, with plenty of wood/kindling supplied for our use. Our family had a great time at this home, and our hosts regularly kept in contact with us to answer any questions that we had during our stay.
