Jay Mountain Retreat - Ski Whiteface - Hikers Paradise

Beautiful retreat and views. It rained but we took advantage of the wrap around porch. Will definitely book this place again in the future.

Jay Mountain Retreat is a hidden gem. It is a large property surrounded by wilderness offering a relaxing getaway with all the modern amenities. While we were there in winter, for the World Cup at Mt. Van Hoevenberg, it would be fabulous in any season for hiking, fishing or just enjoying nature. The owner was very responsive to our questions, and made sure the driveway was plowed in a timely fashion. There are two delicious restaurants at the bottom of the mountain and Keene has a few more options to offer. We recommend this VRBO and friends just rented in April. We hope to return sometime.

A wonderful and quiet place to stay. Our host was quite attentive to making sure everything went well. I would certainly stay here again.

This was the perfect cabin to get away!! Amazing view of Whiteface, HUGE backyard, and a nice big porch to enjoy and take it all in(: We had such a peaceful relaxing stay. Very clean cabin. Susan was very nice and personable! She made me feel very comfortable to reach out if I needed to! We will definitely be staying here again!!

The Jay Mountain Retreat was a perfect home base for our hiking adventures in the ADKs!

The house was great- it had everything we needed and fit our family of 5 well (2 kids had to share a bed because there are only 3 beds total but that wasn’t an issue for us). It was extremely peaceful. Note that it was a little treacherous with the snow; we definitely used 4-wheel drive on the last stretch to the house and in the unpaved driveway. Couldn’t find guidelines for checkout online or in any binder so I hope everything was ok. Again, overall we thought it was a wonderful stay and would totally return!

This cabin was a perfect fit for us! We loved the location, scenery, & hominess of this house.

A wonderful home and property to get away for some true serenity. The daily visits down to the beaver ponds will never be forgotten.

The home was very nice and clean. We had a great view of Whiteface sunset from the check. Fully stocked as described. Close enough to Whiteface and store in Wilmington had a good selection of food supplies.
